I used to always take my cats to this vet. But since I moved and wanted to spare them the stress of car rides, I switched vets. Unfortunately, my British Shorthair cat, Charlie, was diagnosed with entropion (by our regular vet—but only after several visits). He didn't want to operate until he was 18 months old. The eye inflammation kept getting worse, and I was at my wit's end. So I called Dr. Dubois and got an appointment very quickly. The treatment was excellent, as always, and I'm incredibly grateful that the connection to Dr. Grüning in Zweibrücken was made. Charlie has since had his surgery. Finally, his beautiful eyes are visible again, there's no pus, and most importantly, my pet isn't in any pain. Thank you all so much for your wonderful and dedicated care. You're a truly fantastic team!
He took excellent care of our cat. Great aftercare. We'd use him again anytime :)
I took my cat to this veterinary clinic on a public holiday because she had suddenly started limping on her hind paw, was unable to put any weight on it at times, and was constantly licking it. Unfortunately, I didn't feel taken seriously from the very beginning. When my cat was taken out of her carrier, she was supposed to walk on the floor. Ironically, at that precise moment, my cat didn't show any signs of limping, which apparently led to my observations being immediately questioned. After all, no one voluntarily goes to an emergency clinic on a public holiday if there isn't a problem. I found the subsequent handling of my cat on the examination table particularly unpleasant. The veterinary assistant pinned her very tightly to the surface. I explicitly asked for more gentleness, as my cat was calm and showed no aggressive behavior whatsoever. However, my request was ignored and met with the comment that cats can bite and that I couldn't possibly know my cat. Overall, I had the impression that the animal's well-being was completely disregarded. I've never experienced anything like this at my regular veterinary clinics. Animal welfare is always the top priority, so the animals are as comfortable as possible during treatment. I felt very uncomfortable throughout my visit and didn't feel that my concerns were taken seriously. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience, and I won't be returning to this practice.
I've been taking my cats to Dr. Dubois from the very beginning... she's a top-notch vet... open and honest with her diagnoses, and she always continued treatment according to my wishes up to a certain point, as she truly cares about the animals' well-being... I will continue to take my cats to her practice... because I have complete trust in Dr. Dubois... I've always been able to get an appointment immediately when I've called for an emergency... she's a fantastic vet... I also want to give a big compliment to Ms. Wegmann, as she treats the animals with such love and care... Thank you to the whole team! Sylvie Düren
On October 18, 2023, I unfortunately brought my cat to you, something I would never do again. There was a misjudgment of the overall situation, the liver values weren't taken into account, the dosage was slightly too high for her condition, and the T4 level wasn't checked until too late. Even after consulting with you by phone, you didn't get the correct diagnosis. The result was a poisoned liver. They wanted to start with blood pressure treatment. It still hurts me today how badly things went wrong, and I ultimately decided to spare my cat the worst. After spending €1600 on follow-up treatment and determining what was really wrong with her—things that could have been done better from the beginning—my cat would most likely have lived for a few more months or a year or two if it hadn't been for that poor assessment. Knowing for two years that I made such big mistakes is a terrible thought, a terrible feeling, and a source of grief. It's been almost two years now, and every day it hurts to think about it and see her. Sincerely...
