I've been taking my animals to Dr. Jürgens' practice ever since I was a patient of his, and I can say with complete conviction that I feel I'm in excellent hands at Fiona Rutzen's veterinary practice as well. Dr. Rutzen dedicated an incredible amount of time to my dog, Beta, and searched intensively for the right treatments for her pain – even though it was truly difficult. It was always clear how important the animals' well-being was to her and that she left no stone unturned. When I suddenly had to let Beta go, Dr. Rutzen was there for us with sensitivity and empathy. She handled this difficult situation with as much dignity and calm as possible – for me, but especially for Beta. I will always be grateful to her for that. She and her entire team are also always there for my dog, Joschi. In emergencies, we were always able to squeeze in at short notice. When he was diagnosed with a testicular tumor, they even called me twice to move up the surgery date so the tumor could be removed as quickly as possible. That's anything but a given. On the day of the surgery, my additional requests regarding x-rays and dental cleaning were also taken care of immediately – which is not something to be taken for granted. My animals and I always feel taken seriously, lovingly cared for, and receive the best possible medical treatment there. A huge thank you to Dr. Rutzen and her wonderful team for their expertise, warmth, and the consistently pleasant encounters. 🤍

In 29 years of owning dogs, I've met quite a few veterinarians, but very few were like Ms. Rutzen 🥰. I've only experienced such attentive care from a very small number of vets. My dog ​​is very hyperactive, so treatment isn't always easy, but she always remains calm, loving, and friendly. My dog ​​simply adores her, and I think she's wonderful too.

I took Mogli to see Mrs Rutzen today. Mogli had an x-ray appointment for today. Unfortunately the x-ray didn't turn out the way the vet had hoped. Last year during a routine check-up Mogli was diagnosed with a heart murmur. As they weren't able to do an ultrasound in the practice, it was done by a colleague in Cologne in September. The ultrasound showed that Mogli's heart valves were no longer closing properly. However, as everything else was normal, Mogli didn't need any medication, and today it was unfortunately discovered that his heart had enlarged. Another ultrasound will need to be done to determine how much this has changed. After that, a decision can be made as to whether tartar can be removed. Unfortunately, there's an increased risk that Mogli won't be able to wake up during the anesthesia. Today has been a very bad day for us. Despite everything, Ms. Rutzen was very competent and weighed all the pros and cons to find the best solution for Mogli. Now we have to wait for Mogli's ultrasound. The appointment for tartar removal is scheduled for October 20, 2025, and will remain so for now.

The entire team is absolutely competent, and the professional support is always provided with heartfelt serenity. I thank everyone for the loving treatment of my cat, Sylvester, which made the separation possible, because only through loving hands can healing occur.
