Since Dr. Schönfelder retired in 2025, the practice has been taken over by Dr. Kinder, a friendly veterinarian. She continues to treat house and small animals, all patient data has been transferred, and she handled our somewhat excitable young dog calmly and confidently.

I would like to leave a thoroughly positive review for my veterinarian, Dr. Kindler. She provided loving and expert care for my dog ​​during her pregnancy, thoroughly examined and vaccinated the puppies afterward, and continues to support me with all vaccinations and questions regarding my two remaining puppies. She has also neutered my cat – everything went smoothly and with great care. Dr. Kindler is incredibly loving with animals, very friendly, and always understanding. The practice has a pleasant, relaxed, and trusting atmosphere where you immediately feel comfortable. The prices are also absolutely fair and reasonable for the excellent service. I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Kindler!

I actually know Ms. Kindler to be competent. But unfortunately, not in this last case. It was about my dog, who had his spleen removed a year ago because it was affected by a malignant tumor. Unfortunately, the cancer had spread so much that he deteriorated more and more since September, and it was no longer possible to save him. My dog ​​had been to the vet many times a year ago and again recently, and he wasn't doing well anymore; he had difficulty walking due to painful lumps, etc. I asked Ms. Kindler twice if she would come to our house to put him down, and she said absolutely, it wouldn't be a problem. Last Thursday, I called her to ask if she could come on Friday, as it was time, and I didn't want my dog ​​to suffer any longer. She said she didn't have time, neither on Friday nor Monday. She said she could only come on Thursday. Almost a week later... I found that absolutely terrible. Was I supposed to let my dog ​​suffer for another week? I'm sorry, but that's just unacceptable. It wasn't about some kind of examination or anything like that, but about letting him go. Our animals depend on us and trust us! I then made some calls and found a vet who came by on Friday morning. I did have to pay for a considerable trip, but I didn't care; the main thing was that my dog ​​wasn't suffering anymore. PS: The euthanasia itself took maybe 20, maybe 30 minutes. A vet should take this much time, even after closing time (we live 5 minutes from your office), to spare the animal unnecessary pain.

I called the emergency veterinary number from the island of Usedom and ended up speaking to the vet in Friedland. The consultation was very friendly. However, I find it quite unfortunate when, in an emergency, you're referred to a vet in a different district, as was the case for me, especially when you don't have a car and rely solely on public transportation.
