I took our Benny to the vet's office for an emergency appointment. Since we're on vacation here, I called ahead and explained the problem (vomiting and diarrhea with blood in the stool). I was able to come in immediately. The office is very clean, and the two staff members at the reception desk were very friendly and competent. The vet is a compassionate, professional, and truly lovely woman. She examined our little guy thoroughly and then carefully administered the treatment. Our little darling received six injections, along with special diet food and a paste for his stomach. He was already feeling much better the next day, and now he's completely back to normal. The price for the treatment wasn't cheap, but it was reasonable. Overall, I was very satisfied! Thanks again to the entire team for the quick help.
You feel so well cared for at this practice. With their heartfelt care and extensive expertise, all animals are in the best hands. I've been here several times, even though I'm from Hamburg, and I always love coming back! 🤍🤍🤍
Warning! Excessive bill and treatment without prior consultation, animal cruelty, and complaint to the veterinary association. In detail: I called to announce an X-ray of two guinea pigs to determine if they had bladder/urinary stones. No treatment was requested. I only needed the information about whether or not they had stones to schedule an appointment with Dr. Anja Ewringmann in Teltow for treatment or even surgery. My husband drove to the practice. Ms. Platz wanted to sedate the two animals to get clearer images. I refused over the phone for medical reasons! Both guinea pigs were quite old (5 and 7 years) and don't metabolize anesthesia well. The neutered male almost died during the neutering. Furthermore, an emergency surgery under general anesthesia was scheduled for the following day if they did indeed have stones. Ms. Platz was very angry about my refusal. She sent my husband out. The animals weren't returned until 30 minutes later. Ms. Platz expressed Pauline's bladder, which contained stones, without authorization, without pain medication, and without giving her any pain relief. This is a serious animal welfare issue. The two x-rays I ordered cost €314. Outrageous! I was billed for more x-rays than I received. I (the head of a non-profit animal welfare organization) have reported this to the veterinary association. Ms. Platz simply isn't responding to my objection to the bill. A year ago, she charged me over €400 and, when I refused to pay, refused to release the animals (which is illegal!). Only after a 25-minute argument did she admit to accidentally charging me twice! I ended up having to pay almost €200. Unbelievable! Veterinarians seem to have free rein. Ultimately, we will consult a lawyer and inform the press!
A stroke of luck at Christmas! Our dog had a bite wound near his eye. We were immediately taken in as an emergency by Eugenie Platz in Anklam. She provided excellent care and did a fantastic job with the stitches. She's a truly competent and understanding veterinarian for both people and animals. She's our new go-to vet! Thank you!
A wonderful veterinarian who takes her time with the animals and explains everything lovingly and thoroughly. We have a very good feeling about her and will always go there from now on. We highly recommend her, and the assistants are all very lovely as well.
