Tierarztpraxis Grube

A biopsy removed from our dog turned out to be cancerous. The vet never informed us by mail or telephone of the results. My wife only received the report when going in with our other dog for something unrelated. Three and a half weeks after the report was written! When asked for an explanation, Mr. Grube blamed his email system, secretary and the lab itself without taking responsibility for what was clearly negligence, if not vetinary malpractice. Everything was great up to this point. But as a former cancer patient myself this is a mistake, and a lack of accountability, that I can not tolerate. Avoid!

Thanks to Dr. Grube and her team, my darling is back home... Our little mouse unfortunately ran away, and thanks to the efforts of the lovely team and Dr. Grube, I was able to hold her in my arms. Many thanks, dear Linda and Dr. Grube... I'll be back soon with Lilli 😊

On June 6, 2026, we entrusted our dog Buddy to the care of Dr. Grube, the veterinarian. He needed two small warts removed. We were told it would be no problem; light sedation and local anesthesia would suffice. When we picked up our dog two hours later, he was a miserable little creature who didn't recognize us and was barely responsive. We were told it was a side effect of the anesthesia and would pass. An hour later, the epileptic seizures began. The dog screamed like a baby, had foam at the mouth, was soiling himself, and his eyes were bloodshot. When the seizure ended, our dog was blind and deaf. We then went back to the veterinary clinic. Our dog was screaming so pitifully that all the other pet owners told us to go first. Unfortunately, the doctor himself was no longer there, but the veterinarian on duty spoke with Dr. Grube and was told everything was fine. The seizures and screaming continued all night from Friday to Saturday, and we couldn't do anything. When I reached the on-call vet in Usedom town early Saturday morning, she told us, "I'm not even going to touch that; whoever did it should deal with it." Through a kind neighbor, we then got the phone number of a veterinary practice in Greifswald that was open for emergencies on Saturdays. When we called, they just told us to bring the dog in and come as quickly as possible. We had barely arrived at the practice when our dog had another seizure. Three people rushed to his side, performed an EKG and echocardiogram, drew blood, and started an IV. But despite all their efforts, after half an hour we had to accept that too much of his brain and heart muscle had already died. The only decision left was to let our dog go. He rolled onto his side with a deep sigh and fell asleep forever. When asked what the cause was, three doctors said, "Lack of oxygen to the brain during the surgery." But Dr. Grube forbade me from stating that, because I can't prove it. I paid €900 plus €550 for the emergency doctor because my dog ​​is dead; I would have paid twice that if he were still alive. News of Buddy's death spread rapidly through the neighborhood without any effort on our part because he was popular with young and old alike. But because of this, we've now met three other dog and cat owners who have gone through the exact same thing. I don't want to judge anyone, but now everyone has to decide for themselves. May Buddy be happy in doggy heaven and forgive us.

We took our Yorkshire Terrier there yesterday, and he treated her very quickly, even though we didn't have an appointment. He treated her so we could get to the animal hospital as soon as possible. Unfortunately, she then passed away right there in the vet's parking lot. We are still grateful to him for trying everything he could.

We visited this veterinary clinic for the first time on Thursday and felt incredibly well cared for from the very beginning. The entire team was very friendly and empathetic, and they took the time to explain everything calmly. You can immediately tell that they work with heart and genuine care. Unfortunately, we had to have our beloved cat Muller put to sleep on Monday. Despite this difficult situation, we were treated with such respect, compassion, and dignity that we want to express our heartfelt gratitude. Our cat was handled with great care. Especially in such a moment, it is invaluable to encounter such an understanding and professional team. We are grateful that Muller was able to pass away peacefully there.
