Dr. med. vet. Jörg Schröder

Very thorough and very good with my cats.

We have been taking our animals to Dr. Schröder for years and thank him for his excellent work. He is very competent, approachable, and friendly, and his treatment prices are more than reasonable. We can highly recommend him.

I went to veterinarian Dr. Schröder for years. Unfortunately, I CANNOT RECOMMEND him, as his handling of my guinea pig led to its death the same day. It was healthy beforehand, and the vet found nothing wrong during the examination. (It only needed its teeth filed down.) The way Dr. Schröder handled it, for example, his brutal, jerky gripping, caused it to die from the stress. It's possible that some organs were also injured. (Unfortunately, that's possible with his handling.) I already noticed something was wrong at the vet's office, but this wasn't addressed. We told Dr. Schröder about the guinea pig's death so he would be more careful in the future and simply be aware of it. (We didn't want any further compensation.) He reacted irritably, showed no sympathy, and sent us away. My poor Nana had to give her life because of this. I cannot recommend him.

Our dogs (Weimarans) have been cared for by veterinarian Dr. Schröder for 25 years. His expertise, as well as his friendly and calm manner, and his uncomplicated willingness to help even outside of office hours, are commendable. We thank him for the excellent care he has provided for our dogs for so many years.

I must say, I think Dr. Schröder is excellent. When I took my cat Mimi to him last year, he was incredibly kind to Mimi and to us. He was so empathetic when it was discovered that Mimi had kidney failure and that we had to let her go. I gave myself time to say goodbye to Mimi, and I was even allowed to be present when she was euthanized. This allowed me to keep my promise to my cat to always be there for her, right up to her last breath. Thank you, Dr. Schröder.
