My best friend, a Bearded Collie, suddenly became very ill. Despite their full schedule, we were seen immediately. It was apparently a heart problem. So, an ultrasound was performed. Ms. Kümpel located the heart right away and displayed it on the screen. She clearly has a firm grasp of her equipment! As a layperson, she explained what she was seeing in a way I could understand. And it meant his life was in danger. The pericardium was full of fluid, and the heart muscle couldn't expand. The full works: IV access, blood test, and puncture. Ninety minutes after entering the clinic, my best friend was saved, but the veterinary practice's schedule was completely disrupted. The next day, a follow-up examination and a search for the cause. And yes: they found it. However, the prognosis was unfavorable. Throughout the entire examination, I was fully informed about what was happening and what was being shown on the screen. The sad news was conveyed to me sensitively yet clearly. Now I'm saying goodbye for the next few weeks and am grateful that my friend and I have this time. They offer appointments without a long wait, and I was even able to schedule the second appointment at my usual veterinary practice, as the team was there. I took my cat to the Kümpel veterinary clinic for a heart ultrasound and I'm extremely satisfied. The entire team took an incredible amount of time and carried everything out calmly and patiently. I was particularly impressed by their patience and gentleness with my cat – even though she resisted a bit at times. You can immediately tell that they work with a great deal of calm, experience, and compassion. I felt very well cared for and can absolutely recommend this clinic!
