Thanks to the mobile veterinary practice, my cat was able to fall asleep at home instead of having to drive across town to our regular veterinarian while terminally ill. Ms. Schewe arrived about an hour after the call, examined my cat, asked about her medical history, and explained the steps during the euthanasia procedure and what I could expect (e.g., that my cat might vomit from the sedative injection). At my request, Ms. Schewe took the body with her. I would have preferred a few things to be different (clarification of the costs I would expect on the bill, a question about whether I would prefer a distracting conversation or peace... These are all things I would normally ask/communicate myself, but in my emotional state, I was no longer able to do so, even though I appear very composed and rational on the outside). Overall, however, I am satisfied. My Kriemhild was professionally and sensitively accompanied across the rainbow bridge, and that is what matters to me. Thank you for your commitment!

An absolutely wonderful veterinarian with a heart of gold, who practices her profession out of genuine love for animals. We can be very grateful that Ms. Schewe works as a dedicated mobile veterinarian, sparing so many beloved pets fear, panic, and stress. First of all, I want to emphasize: I cannot confirm the negative reviews about Ms. Schewe in any way. Reading these reviews, it becomes clear to me that the problem doesn't lie with the veterinarian, but rather with pet owners who may not properly assess emergencies or act quickly enough. It's also important for me to say that I am neither related to nor acquainted with Ms. Schewe – I was simply a very concerned pet owner. Last Tuesday, we received the devastating diagnosis: terminal cancer. Our dog was extremely anxious and had already had numerous bad experiences at veterinary clinics. Therefore, it was incredibly important to us that he could pass away peacefully at home, in his familiar surroundings. Ms. Schewe was immediately available and responded with the utmost understanding and empathy. She openly explained that fixed appointments aren't always possible, as emergencies have to be prioritized – completely understandable. Nevertheless, she made it possible for us to visit on a Friday afternoon, at a time when other practices had already closed. Despite the difficult circumstances (our dog was aggressive towards strangers), Ms. Schewe didn't turn us away. It was our first euthanasia, and I am incredibly grateful that she enabled us to take this difficult step at home, calmly, with dignity, and with so much compassion. This experience is a great help to us in our grief and gives us strength. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Ms. Schewe.

Ms. Schewe took the time, even in the middle of her supermarket shopping, to discuss my cat's situation in detail, ask specific questions, narrow down possible causes, and advise me thoroughly on the next steps. Since my cat reacts aggressively at the vet, I had requested a mobile consultation. Because she doesn't have X-ray equipment, she recommended I go directly to practices with X-ray facilities and gave me the names of practices experienced with difficult cats. Looking at my experience and reading the reviews, I get the impression that Ms. Schewe is very dedicated and tries to be as available as possible to see if and how she can help. Not having fixed working hours and having to constantly weigh up her options, sometimes even dropping everything due to personal reasons, is a challenging situation and deserves the utmost respect. When I read reviews where someone expects her to be available 24/7 and to be responsible for every emergency in the city as a single individual— then there's not just a misunderstanding, but rather, they're demanding the inhuman and unattainable. The "emergency number" ultimately just means that they respond to emergencies as far as possible and within their capacity. How else could an individual manage? Not sleep, abandon friends and family? If it's not possible to call, then you have to contact the appropriate emergency service! It makes me angry when someone who is clearly already highly dedicated is further discredited if they aren't available 24/7. Addendum: I've been meaning to add something for a while: During the phone call, Ms. Schewe narrowed down two main possibilities. Before I went to the recommended veterinary practice for an X-ray (because of my limp), I should try trimming my claws, especially the dewclaws, as they sometimes become irritated. Since I regularly check them and there was no sign of inflammation, I was actually expecting arthritis and the X-ray. But in fact, after 5 to 7 days, everything cleared up just from trimming them! Thank goodness. And thank goodness to Ms. Schewe. And it was all so easy. simply as a gift of time and advice over the phone... without any financial compensation.

Our Labrador Lilly had serious health problems last night. She came immediately. Since we didn't have a car, she drove us to an emergency clinic. Very competent and very friendly. That's how everyone should be. Thank you so much! 😘
