Doctor Karl was nice to me and my cat. She also speaks English, so I did not have any problems with communication. I made an appointment beforehand and my cat had a proper vaccination and check-out.

We took our cat to the aforementioned veterinary practice due to acute symptoms. The procedures performed included palpation, taking her temperature, administering an IV, and giving her a deworming tablet. Further diagnostic steps, such as blood tests or an ultrasound, were neither offered nor recommended. We felt the way our cat and we, as her owners, were treated was rather cold and lacked empathy. The treatment lasted approximately 20 minutes and cost €130. Unfortunately, there was no improvement in our cat's condition the following day. Since the aforementioned practice was closed that day, we consulted another veterinarian nearby. There, a similar procedure was performed, including two additional injections, at a cost of €50. On the third day, we took our cat to yet another veterinary practice. There, a comprehensive diagnostic workup was carried out, including ultrasound, X-rays, shaving the affected area, injections, and the prescription of medication for continued treatment at home. Furthermore, the cause of the symptoms was specifically investigated and explained. The treatment lasted approximately one hour and cost €220. Overall, we find the relationship between the service provided, the diagnostic effort involved, and the costs of the individual treatments difficult to understand. Especially when dealing with a sick animal, owners are willing to do everything necessary—but they also desire transparency, empathy, and a clear medical approach. We hope this feedback will be considered a suggestion, particularly regarding communication, diagnostics, and cost transparency.

A very competent and lovely veterinarian. Highly recommended. I came spontaneously with my dog without an appointment and received a very warm welcome. Dr. Karin Hotwagner took plenty of time for us. We felt very well cared for. Many thanks also to Ms. Neumann!
