If I could, I'd give 10 stars. Accessibility, appointment availability, diagnosis, treatment, therapy, friendliness…simply everything was top-notch! Our somewhat elderly, plump guinea pig suddenly lost weight and stopped eating as usual, only nibbling soft foods like cucumber and a few fresh blades of grass, with noticeably minimal chewing movements. This led me to suspect dental problems. So, off she went to our wonderful vet, who found her teeth to be perfectly normal. She went home without a real diagnosis, but with a vitamin injection, some supplemental feeding formula, and pain medication. A week later, she had lost more weight, so we went back to the vet – I reiterated my suspicion. The vet's suspicion: temporomandibular joint inflammation, prognosis: poor! She had deteriorated further, and I honestly thought that was the end of her. ... Then I came across Ms. Schweigart's practice and contacted her immediately. The very next morning, Polly was under anesthesia in the "dentist's chair"—it was indeed her teeth, and she also had a purulent inflammation in her throat. After four days, I dare say: Our Polly has really cheated death. She's doing remarkably better. She's FINALLY eating hay and hay pellets again. I wholeheartedly recommend Ms. Schweigart. We are incredibly grateful to her and will gladly continue to make the hour-long drive for such expertise and dedication. ❤️

BEST veterinarian in all of North Rhine-Westphalia!!! Our rabbit had an abscess on his tooth, and neither the animal hospital nor any veterinarian could help him. We were faced with the choice between having his eye removed or euthanasia. When we picked up our rabbit from the animal hospital, they gave us a wise tip – “Go to the Schweigart veterinary practice in Holzwickede!” We did, and what can I say? Neither his eye had to be removed nor did he have to be euthanized. The abscess was successfully treated the day after we contacted her. But regardless of whether it's dental problems, E.C., or other emergencies, Ms. Schweigart reacts very quickly, is extremely competent, and is very kind and warm to both people and animals. MS.
