While on holiday in the Franconian Lake District, our old dog stumbled into a wasp nest. Luckily, the veterinary practice in Thalmässing was on call. We made an appointment with just one phone call, and upon arrival, our dog was examined immediately, thoroughly, and comprehensively. The consultation was competent and empathetic, and thanks to the timely administration of anti-allergy medication, everything turned out well. Thank you, veterinary practice in Thalmässing.

We visited this veterinary practice on an emergency weekend, and I remain deeply impressed by the incredible empathy and professionalism of the entire team. Our 15-year-old Siamese cat, Luna, suddenly became very ill. On Saturday, March 28, 2026, we were greeted with great calm, patience, and empathy. They took ample time, examined her thoroughly, and explained to us in a way we could understand that Luna had a tumor on her heart and likely didn't have much time left. This news was a huge shock for us, but Dr. Gierer provided us with incredible compassion during that time. On Sunday, March 29, 2026, we had to return because her condition had deteriorated significantly. Again, we were greeted calmly and with great compassion. Everything was explained to us step by step, without pressure or time constraints. My mother was allowed to hold Luna the entire time. Everything was handled with great dignity and peace. Dr. Gierer prepared everything very carefully, so that Luna passed away peacefully and within seconds. As sad as this farewell was, we are so grateful for this respectful and loving final journey. We never felt like just "a case," but were treated as individuals with feelings. The entire team at the practice was incredibly kind and supportive. We couldn't have wished for a more dignified farewell for our Luna. Thank you so much for everything.

On Boxing Day, my cat needed emergency stitches, and I am very grateful for the quick and competent help. Despite the holiday, I was greeted warmly and received very professional advice. The treatment was calm, gentle, and efficient—exactly what you want in a stressful situation. The practice is clean, well-maintained, and even smelled pleasant, which immediately made me feel comfortable. We visited twice: once during the emergency appointment and a second time to have the stitches removed. Both appointments went smoothly and with the same friendliness and care. Highly recommended!

Excellent treatment and care for my 16-year-old dog, who was very unwell this morning. Through our communication, we also figured out how I can better support him in the future, especially during periods of extreme heat. Both people and animals are treated well here 👍
