Excellent veterinarian takes his time with our cat and explains everything thoroughly. Keep up the good work!
We took our one-year-old cat to see Mr. Wöhrmann. I had booked the appointment online, indicating that I wanted to have our cat vaccinated, get deworming tablets, and inquire about possible spaying. I was very irritated right from the start of the appointment: Our cat wasn't examined or weighed – the vet simply prescribed the deworming tablets "by eye." I found his comment that you can tell when a cat is "cunning" to be completely inappropriate. He also said that a vaccination "doesn't make much sense" because you can recognize rabies by behavior – a statement I find utterly incomprehensible. Throughout the entire appointment, Mr. Wöhrmann was very loud, talked over each other, and often without any rhyme or reason. A structured or calm approach was nowhere to be seen. The way he spoke about spaying was also completely unacceptable – especially since my children (2 and 7 years old) were present. Instead of explaining things in a child-friendly way, he described details about cuts, blood, and organs so graphically that my daughter started to cry. Finally, he made condescending comments about my financial situation and told me I should find a job as soon as possible because "things like this are very expensive"—all in front of my children! There was absolutely no empathy or love for animals at this practice. We felt neither respected as pet owners nor as human beings. Loud, disrespectful, and lacking in empathy—absolutely not recommended. In my opinion, it wasn't worth the trip, the time, or the money. Exorbitant prices for no service!
Disappointing and hurtful experience We are both well over 70 years old and wanted to take our old, sick dog to Mr. Wöhrmann's veterinary practice, as our male dog regularly needs cortisone and is in poor health. After our attempts to make an appointment by phone or email went unanswered, we booked an appointment through PetsXL. The first appointment was canceled without explanation. Another appointment for today remained, so we set off for the practice – despite the intense heat. When we arrived, Mr. Wöhrmann himself opened the door. Before we could even introduce ourselves or explain our situation, he reacted extremely unfriendly, loudly, aggressively, and dismissively. He declared very loudly and clearly that he would not treat our dogs – even though there had been no prior communication to that effect. He then slammed the door shut on us very roughly, almost trapping my husband's hand. We were deeply upset by this behavior. The situation was stressful for us as elderly people – and especially for our sick dog, a completely unnecessary ordeal. Mr. Wöhrmann not only deeply offended us but also refused treatment to an old and sick dog. Such an unacceptable experience is unfamiliar to us, which makes today's events all the more upsetting.
