Tierarztpraxis Zauner

On December 3, 2025, we took our dog, TWiQS (a Bavarian Mountain Hound), to the veterinary practice for his vaccinations. I found the situation very unpleasant and disrespectful to both the animal and its owner: we were supposed to have him vaccinated on the floor of the examination room while sedated cats were lying there. Our dog was visibly distressed. Instead of heeding our advice regarding his anxiety and how to handle him safely, the vaccination was, in my opinion, performed very routinely and without any calm guidance. As a result, TWiQS twisted himself awkwardly. The next day, we had to take him to an animal hospital due to severe symptoms (vomiting/diarrhea, significant abdominal pain). There, they initially suspected and treated a reaction to the vaccination/gastrointestinal issue. On December 11, 2025, an acute emergency occurred, which ultimately resulted in surgery, during which TWiQS died. Whether and how everything is medically connected would need to be clarified separately. What I'm evaluating here is the way I was treated on the day of the vaccination: I didn't feel taken seriously, the atmosphere was stressful, and I would have expected significantly more empathy, proper handling, and communication in such a situation.

We've been taking all our animals to Dr. Feuerherdt's veterinary practice since day one and have been very satisfied! Thank you! ❤️ Dr. Zauner is a friendly and competent successor. However, her veterinary assistants are a complete disaster. Unfriendly and incompetent. You don't even want to call them anymore because you get rudely answered every time. I'm afraid to call them, so we'll probably switch veterinary practices.

I am truly thrilled with this practice. We initially went to Dr. Feuerherd, but then the practice was taken over by Ms. Zauner. Ms. Zauner is a highly competent veterinarian who not only does her job but also has a real heart for animals. We've been to so many vets, but unfortunately, no one has ever been able to help us like Dr. Feuerherd and Ms. Zauner. We are so happy to now have a competent veterinarian we trust and feel comfortable taking our cats to.
