Today, on Easter Sunday, I had to take my cat to Dr. Schantl as an emergency vet; he seems to have ingested poison. Thanks to his prompt treatment, he's thankfully on the mend. I felt very well cared for. Thank you for still having an emergency service! 👍
A huge compliment and heartfelt thank you to Dr. Schantl! My dog was given an appointment immediately and received competent and compassionate care. The vet took plenty of time to explain everything to me in a way I could understand. I can't understand the negative comments here and can only give her a full recommendation.
I would have preferred to give zero stars. Today, a cat was hit by a car and is still alive. Despite being available this weekend, the vet refused to help! According to him, he can't (or won't!) help; they just want to leave the cat to die! Unbelievable!
I've been taking my very difficult cat to Dr. Schantl for some time now. Even in very serious situations (bites from wild animals), Dr. Schantl was always immediately available and quickly provided successful treatment. I am truly very satisfied and can highly recommend Dr. Schantl.
Dr. Schantl was on call on the public holiday. I contacted him about a rabbit with maggots. Unfortunately, his response was disappointing—he was unfriendly, disinterested, and, worst of all, irresponsible. Over the phone, he didn't classify the incident as an emergency, told me to get deworming medication the next day, and then simply hung up. Therefore, I decided to go to Dr. Paulitsch in Feistritz, where the acute emergency was treated immediately. The atmosphere was friendly, and the care was extremely competent. The slightly longer drive to Feistritz was definitely worth it; otherwise, the rabbit wouldn't have survived the night.
