AniCura Bergisch Gladbach

We had BOAS surgery on our French Bulldog and were more than satisfied. Dr. Stirl provided us with comprehensive information before and after the surgery. All the other staff members were also incredibly friendly. For Carnival, the doctor even gave us a Berliner (a type of German doughnut) to help us wake up from the anesthesia! 👍🏽😁 We are very happy with the results of the surgery so far. We would definitely choose this practice again. ☺️

We went to the AniCura Bergisch Gladbach practice for BOAS surgery on Monday, October 6, 2025, with our 4-year-old French Bulldog, Spike. We had our consultation about it about two months beforehand. We were very well informed about the surgery and felt positive about it with Spike. We were allowed to stay with him for the anesthesia, and only after he had fallen asleep was he taken into surgery. The surgery, including the endoscopy of his airways, lasted about two and a half hours. We held Spike back in our arms to wake him up, and he was able to wake up calmly and let the anesthesia wear off. Two hours after the recovery period, we were allowed to take him home. We would like to thank the entire team for their loving care and follow-up the day after the surgery. The explanations were given by Mr. Wysocki, and the surgery was performed by Ms. Nunekpeku. We drove 88 km to have Spike operated on at this practice. We are grateful for the recommendation for the BOAS surgery. The photos show Spike before and after the surgery (nicely large nostrils).

This wasn't our first visit to this clinic, and each time we're extremely satisfied with the work of the entire team. The staff is incredibly friendly—both to the owners and the animals. The veterinarians are competent and responsible in all matters concerning our pet's health. The waiting times are always very short. Our last visit was due to a broken claw on our dog, which unfortunately had to be trimmed under sedation. Despite the fact that we came as an emergency and without an appointment, we were seen very quickly. The veterinarian and the assistants were extremely kind to my dog. He received prompt and professional care. I left the clinic with a very positive impression. Many thanks to the entire team! ☺️❤️
