We were here today for the first time with our dog Balu. He had acute stomach and intestinal problems. Even though I didn't have an appointment, which is usually required, we were seen after a short wait. Despite it being quite busy at times, we were greeted warmly and treated with care. We felt very well looked after and are glad we received help. We would definitely come back.

I'm not usually a fan of reviews, as I can't judge other people's work. However, this review is about the treatment of the animal and its owner. I took our 14-year-old cat to the vet because of a runny nose. After the examination, the vet said it could be related to his teeth and would require surgery. I then scheduled the operation and dropped our old boy off on Monday. I was allowed to pick him up again at 4 p.m. I nearly fainted when I saw the bill was in the four-figure range – I certainly hadn't expected such a large sum. I really wish they had informed me beforehand. That wasn't the worst part, though. They brought my cat back in his carrier, without a blanket or towel, just as I had left him. The poor animal was sitting on a completely soaked surface, and when I asked the staff member why the cat was shivering and where the blanket and towel I had brought were, it was handed to me in a plastic bag. The shivering was completely ignored. On top of that, it was only 3°C outside. When I got home, I discovered that my cat was also wet. Seriously, for a four-figure sum, shouldn't a new surface be included?! I'm left with a bad feeling that the animal's well-being wasn't/isn't the priority here. That makes me sad. I hope they will review their actions for the animal's sake. For me, this was the first and last visit to this practice.

I took my 1.5-year-old Yorkshire Terrier to the vet today for a nail trim (€19) and to have a small cyst removed with a quick injection (2 minutes, €19). I understand the cost! What I didn't understand at all was this: I had another question about my dog scratching a lot, and the answer was that I should make an appointment with Dr. Mertens. Then, on the bill, there was another €19 for a supposed follow-up examination that never took place. So, €19 on the bill just to make an appointment with Dr. Mertens?? ?? It's all completely incomprehensible to me! When I called to ask about it, the receptionist said the vet could have charged for a general examination, which would have been even more expensive??? For what??? What follow-up examination???? I'm very disappointed! I'll be looking for a different vet!
