My trusted veterinarian for at least 30 years. Even back in Schöneberg. First all our cats, and now our dog.
Unfortunately, we had to put our cat Gizmo down today due to a tumor and other health problems. Many thanks to the veterinarian Dr. Schweinsteiger and his assistant for the comprehensive examination and, above all, the empathetic and loving farewell, especially since it extended well beyond opening hours on the weekend (and we were still able to say a long goodbye). For this, we would like to express our sincere gratitude.
We went to the vet on Saturday afternoon because our guinea pig had stopped eating due to a blood trail and had already lost a significant amount of weight. The vets seemed very competent, but despite this life-threatening situation, we were only given an appointment for Tuesday. The urgency was completely underestimated: We were neither told how critical the condition was, nor were we advised to seek immediate treatment at another practice or emergency clinic. Our pet died during the night leading into Tuesday. Due to this misjudgment, we absolutely cannot recommend this veterinary clinic for acute emergencies.
