We took our cat Amy to Dr. Kornat for several years! Sadly, Amy had to be put to sleep yesterday! We would like to sincerely thank Dr. Kornat for her caring and compassionate care. I'm a doctor myself (surgical specialization). The veterinarian behaves as if she's just repairing equipment. She shows neither empathy nor compassion. When she suspected diabetes mellitus, she didn't even take a blood sample. Instead, she demanded I pay €400 just to clean the teeth of a 14-year-old dog under general anesthesia! Outrageous!

I called the vet clinic because my little cat needs to be neutered. Since I'm currently in vocational training, it would be important for me to be able to estimate the cost of the treatment beforehand. I explained this politely to the woman on the phone. I also asked if they offered payment plans (asking doesn't cost anything, and that would obviously be easier for me, it's nothing to be ashamed of). Unfortunately, I was treated rudely on the phone. First, they said it wasn't an emergency, so I asked about the payment plan. I understand that, but they could have been much nicer. Then they said they couldn't even give me a rough estimate because it depends on the cat's condition, so I would have to come to the clinic. I was somewhat understanding about that, so I asked if I could bring the cat in for an examination, and then they could give me a specific price, or if there would be any costs involved. ... Then I was spoken to very rudely again and told off, with accusations that it was forbidden to offer such services for free and that I shouldn't get a pet if I didn't have the money. I find this behavior towards a potential customer simply unacceptable! A good veterinary practice shouldn't allow itself to behave like this; it's possible to talk to anyone normally!
