We got an appointment quickly. The doctor was very friendly and was able to help us quickly.
A lovely, welcoming practice. Friendly and very kind veterinary assistants. A competent, thorough, and precise veterinarian who is calm and collected throughout her work. My little Maltese, suffering from heart failure and an elevated respiratory rate, needed urgent medical attention, which I found with Dr. Heer. After a quick phone call, we were able to come in immediately. Dr. Heer examined her thoroughly, prescribed medication, and gave me contact information for future emergencies, as these things unfortunately always seem to happen on weekends, and I'm not familiar with the area. My little one was feeling better the next day, and we had a follow-up appointment three days later, which confirmed the improvement. In short: highly recommended.
Honestly, stay away from this vet. We took our rabbit to the emergency clinic over the weekend. They told us to put it in the oven at 50°C. I wouldn't want to eat the animal. This woman has absolutely no clue about her profession, and then to charge €176 for it is nothing short of extortion. It's an outrage that she's allowed to call herself a vet. She might know something about farm animals, but she's clueless about anything else. Never again.
Finally, a good vet! For over a year, we had our dog treated by various vets for severe itching, hair loss, sores, and inflamed ears. The initial diagnosis was mites. So, for almost a year, we battled these supposed mites and incurred a lot of vet bills. The treatments were ineffective; nothing helped, and in fact, things only got worse. Therefore, we sought a second opinion from Dr. Heer. She examined our dog very thoroughly and quickly came to a completely different conclusion: an allergy! He was given allergy tablets, and we were told to call back two days later. Just a few hours after the first dose, our dog was noticeably better. As agreed, I contacted her two days later and told her that our dog was like a different dog. She then recommended that we consider an allergy test, which we had done shortly afterward. Now we wait and see. The practice itself is very pleasant and well-maintained. There's even a water bowl for the dogs in the waiting room. Her staff are incredibly friendly and empathetic. I highly recommend Dr. Heer. This vet was able to help my dog in a single day with a problem that took others a year to resolve. A top-notch vet!
Stay away from this vet. Emergency service is all well and good, but this is a rip-off, not to mention her advice. A €25 rabbit was treated for €176. They don't say anything if it costs a little extra (we've been there before), so instead of €30, it was €70, which would have been okay for this. If you examine a rabbit and supposedly can't hear its breathing, or only very faintly (we could hear it ourselves without any aids), you should consider getting a hearing aid. But the best part is the advice to put the rabbit in the oven at 50 degrees Celsius for hypothermia, with the door closed. Sorry, she has absolutely no clue. She's not a vet. Our vet always explained beforehand what could be done and how much it would cost when we came in with problems, instead of just starting with all sorts of things and then saying, "Oh, this is going to be a bit more expensive."
