Reviews
I found a tiny baby mouse and wanted to ask if it made sense to do anything about it. Dr. Hengst herself asked me if I eat meat and if I knew what happens in factory farming. Wow. I'm speechless. But I guess meat-eaters shouldn't help animals. Thanks for the great input! 🙌
A practice you can rely on. The animals are our top priority. My two tomcats were examined thoroughly, and even in a few emergencies, we were given the time and peace we needed. Everyone on the team is attentive and friendly. I would especially like to thank Dr. Hengst. My two senior tomcats, M&T, also thank her.
A very competent and conscientious veterinarian. At the first appointment, she suspected my cat had an overactive thyroid, which turned out to be correct. This first appointment with Dr. Hengst was preceded by several appointments at other practices where no one suspected this. After consulting with Dr. Hengst, I wanted to continue treatment at a veterinary practice closer to home, as it takes us 45 minutes to get to Worms. Unfortunately, I was wrong again... I visited Dr. Hengst again with my cat, the problem was identified, and despite the long drive, we will now remain loyal to this practice.
We have a cat named Frieda, who is now 17 years old. She first came to see Ms. Hengst about two years ago – and it was desperately needed. Frieda wasn't doing well at the time. She arrived severely overweight. We had already lost a few kilos, but due to her age, arthritis, and her weight, she was having trouble grooming herself and generally wasn't feeling well. She's an older British Shorthair: a bit stubborn, very timid, and doesn't like being touched or picked up – especially not by strangers. But Ms. Hengst and Ms. Szekely did a fantastic job! They were very understanding of Frieda's quirks, respected her boundaries, and never forced her to do anything she didn't want to do. Of course, sometimes they had to "tease" her a little for examinations – but it was always done with great empathy and patience. We were able to get Frieda's coat and weight under control. When Frieda developed kidney failure, Ms. Hengst handled that brilliantly as well. Frieda can now spend her golden years pain-free and relaxed – and that, of course, makes us very happy. I always feel very comfortable during our monthly visits to the practice because I know my grumpy little girl is in the best hands here. In short: If you're looking for a veterinarian who understands even the grumpiest cats with plenty of heart, patience, and humor, then Ms. Hengst is the perfect choice!
