Hello, I've been taking my pets to Dr. Besse for almost 30 years currently 2 German Shepherds and goats I've never been dissatisfied with his diagnoses and treatments a veterinarian I can highly recommend

We went to Mr. Besse for an X-ray because of breathing difficulties, as our regular vet doesn't offer X-rays. He's not recommended for larger, longer-lived pets. Perhaps for hamsters and rabbits, where lifespans are predictable anyway. We were met with a completely unempathetic person who showed no interest in the animal or our feelings. It might have been because it was Friday after 5 pm, but I wouldn't schedule appointments if I didn't feel like seeing patients that late. Apparently, he's lost all interest in his profession. He was completely helpless and indifferent to the recognized, highly life-threatening condition of our furry friend. His advice: consult specialists in Elversberg or the Taunus region, but he wanted to leave the decision to the veterinary dermatologist and wanted to send us home for the weekend. NOT A SINGLE SUGGESTION OR EVEN A CALL FOR URGENT ACTION!!!! Afterwards, knowing (his own admission) that his !! 2 !! The X-rays were completely unusable, and then, with a stupid remark, they charged us €150 (the standard fee according to the fee schedule is €26 per image!) and wished us "a nice weekend." Our beloved pet wouldn't have survived that night, let alone made it through the weekend to the vet on Monday. This butcher sent us home fully aware that our furry friend probably wouldn't make it through the night without treatment! ... On our own initiative, we went to the veterinary clinic in Elversberg, where we were seen immediately, ahead of about 12 other waiting emergencies, and our little one received emergency surgery and care. Here, the vet's professional assessment was: "He wouldn't have survived Saturday, maybe not even that night..." I don't know if anyone can understand what this man did to us, or what would have happened if we had actually waited until Monday. It's probably time for him to close his practice and stop practicing. Despite his explanation of the medical condition, he was either incapable of recognizing/assessing the seriousness of the situation, or he was incapable or even uninterested in conveying it to us and telling us: "Take the animal to clinic XY RIGHT NOW, it's in acute danger, it might not survive the night!!" ... No, his statement was matter-of-fact: "I can't help here, but there are specialists... I would leave the decision to Dr. [the veterinarian]..." Dear Mr. Besse, if you treat people and animals with such incompetence, please close your doors—for good!!!

A fantastic veterinarian who has helped us many times, whether with dogs, cats, or horses. He has always been there to offer advice and support.

A great veterinarian who explains everything very well and, above all, wants to know everything about the animal. We came late one weekend evening, and he was still very kind and loving to our dog. We switched to him with our three dogs and two cats because we couldn't imagine a better vet for our charges. Thank you again for your quick help.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience at this veterinary practice. I brought in my 17-year-old, blind cat, who was barely able to walk, with an abscess on his upper jaw, to end his further suffering. Instead of compassion, he was treated further, the wound was cleaned without anesthesia, and he was in considerable pain. The veterinarian seemed annoyed, and I had the impression that this was reflected in how he treated my cat. Even the final injection was administered without sedation—my cat was conscious, cried out, and jumped up. My pet suffered unnecessarily in his final moments. This experience was traumatic and has completely destroyed my trust in this practice.
