Dr.med.vet. Bärbel Küsters Tierärztin

I've been taking my animals to Dr. Küsters for decades, first cats, now a dog. I'm always very satisfied and can come for infusions at any time of day, even on Sundays (for my cat). She's a true professional. Although I don't live in Alpen, I'm always happy to make the short trip.

Beware of cost traps? I strongly recommend inquiring about the costs before treatment and comparing them with other practices. The practice bills according to the fee schedule, but it seems to be maxed out. Unfortunately, I regularly have to have my dog's anal glands emptied, and at other practices, I pay less than a third of the price for this service, even billed according to the new fee schedule and with a treatment time of less than five minutes. When the bill arrived, I was astonished by the high amount – my dog ​​weighs 3 kg!!! So I picked up the phone – something must have gone wrong. The practice team promised to call me back after clarifying the matter with the doctor. This never happened, and an email and fax with my inquiries also went unanswered. Instead, I received a reminder and a threatening letter from a lawyer for the billing office. Customer service is a foreign concept here.

Not recommended at all!! We took our beloved cat there for treatment, and unfortunately, it came to the point where we had to have her euthanized... as if that decision wasn't difficult enough, the vet was very rough, completely unsympathetic, and even made us feel like we were doing something wrong! We weren't even allowed to be present during the euthanasia and were given our cat back wrapped in a plastic bag without a word. It was truly one of the worst days of my life; I will never set foot in that practice again.

I've been taking our dog and cat to Dr. Küsters' practice for many years. They've always received quick and loving care, at any time of day. The whole practice team does a fantastic job; thank you for your kind and competent support.
