The vet was terrible at examining my cats. First of all, he only gave the first one a "good" examination because he said she was too aggressive. Then he didn't even notice that the cats had fleas, and I only had to discover it myself when there were a lot of them. The place is reasonably clean and the prices are affordable.

A professional, reasonably priced, and highly competent doctor. I got an appointment within seconds, and my cat was successfully operated on that same hour. Absolutely recommendable, thank you!

The vet told me to bring my kittens in for spaying in April. It was already clearly visible at the end of March that one cat was pregnant.* When confronted with this, Dr. Matheis told me to find another vet because my accusations were hurtful and because we didn't get along. He said we had different "opinions." Since pregnancy is hardly a matter of opinion, I can't understand this. Fun fact: he also said on March 27th that I hadn't come to him in April... Spot the flaw. Mistakes happen. We're still learning how to deal with them. *Although I had been giving the cats the pill for several weeks after getting a second opinion. This vet told me at the beginning of March that it was already too late to rule out pregnancy. I should continue giving them the pill for the duration of the possibility of pregnancy. Only then would she be willing to spay them. *Although I had been giving the cats the pill for several weeks after getting a second opinion.* This vet told me at the beginning of March that it was already too late to rule out pregnancy. I should continue giving them the pill for the duration of the pregnancy, as it couldn't be ruled out. Only then would she be willing to spay them. ** Addendum: These kittens were born at the end of April... So neutering them in April would be way too late. They're driving me crazy. That's exactly why I didn't want kittens. If only Dr. Matheis would take responsibility and offer me some support, like looking after the kittens during the first few weeks. I'm so fed up with people not taking responsibility for their actions.

We were able to schedule an appointment quickly. Dr. Matheis gave our rescue dog a thorough examination and provided us with helpful advice. He is very professional and friendly. We feel we are in good hands with him and will definitely return for the next check-up/vaccination.
