Reviews
I've been taking my animals to Ms. Sucker-Swoboda since last year. She has always taken her time with both of my pets (dogs and cat). Waiting times are also short, and we always feel well-advised and in good hands.
Excellent, competent advice. You can always get an appointment quickly, even on short notice. If you "only" need a tick tablet, deworming medication, etc., a quick phone call is all it takes, and the requested medication can be picked up. Update December 4, 2023: For us and our dogs, the best veterinarian in town. As always, competent and efficient advice and treatment. No long waiting times, and always very kind to the patients. 👍🏻
Great practice! She takes the time to explain everything, and you can tell the dog's well-being is her top priority! We were recommended a better treatment for our dog, which they didn't have in stock. She was then able to find us a suitable clinic with a stock and didn't make a profit! And she even ran the clinic several minutes past opening hours! 6/5 stars
We've taken several cats there. Cat 1 was misdiagnosed, and because we found out what was wrong with him too late, we had to have him euthanized at 8 months old. Cat 2 was declared healthy, but a week later, the Ettlingen veterinary clinic proved the exact opposite—another misdiagnosis. Recently, we took cat 3 there for a pregnancy check. She was about 23 days pregnant when they took an x-ray. We paid 95 euros, and the vet said she wasn't pregnant. A week later, we went to their colleagues in Malsch (Dr. Essig), and lo and behold, she was pregnant—with four kittens! Several vets told me that an x-ray isn't done until day 50 or 55 of pregnancy because it's pointless before then. But hey, the main thing is that you've spent money... So, all in all, I wouldn't recommend them. The only positive thing is that the receptionist is very nice.
On March 22, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., we had to say goodbye to our "little Holly" after 24 years, with the truly loving support of Dr. Sucker-Swoboda. That "Holly" was with us for 24 years is thanks to this truly competent and professional veterinarian and her Maria, who always provided excellent medical care for the little cat and were always available. This practice operates with heart and mind. Regarding previous reviews, it should be added that an animal's illness can only be recognized and successfully treated if the owner also recognizes the symptoms and communicates them to the veterinarian. THANK YOU for the 24 years
