Reviews
I absolutely cannot recommend her! Aside from the fact that she completely refuses to acknowledge any mistakes and gets very angry, both horses were significantly worse off after her treatment. Horse 1: Misdiagnosis + incorrect treatment; after the treatment, the horse was only walking on three legs. It was sound before the treatment. Another vet had to come several times to administer antibiotic injections. Horse 2: She was agitated, didn't greet me, didn't have a minute to let the horse calm down, and unfortunately, she flipped over, for which I didn't blame her. After she lost the ability to move her tail, I drove for several hours to Dr. Sachs's office. The tail is very likely paralyzed. In any case, it's impaired. There are specific liability insurance policies for veterinarians, just like for everything else. The horse's competition career is over, and its value has significantly decreased. Furthermore, the horse can no longer swat away flies. There are fecal remnants stuck to its tail. The horse's well-being has suffered as a result. Dr. Sachs is completely uncooperative. She became incredibly angry, threatened me with lawyers, and accused me of beating the horse and causing it to somersault. Apparently, I'm not beating horses if a vet is standing behind them with a thermometer, especially if it's the sweetest horse on the planet. I'd like to point out that Dr. [Name] was the one who reprimanded my mares very harshly, even though they were in excruciating pain, and yet the bandage was applied incorrectly. This resulted in such severe cellulitis that the horse could only walk on three legs. Two other vets who examined it afterward also agreed that there shouldn't have been any pressure on the bandage. The horse's reaction clearly demonstrated this. And in the end, this vet sicced the veterinary authorities on me because she couldn't admit her own mistakes? Of course, the authorities couldn't find anything wrong. The horses are doing very well now.
For years, I have valued Dr. Pichon's high level of expertise and her unwavering commitment to her patients. I have always been able to rely on Dr. Pichon to find a solution for every problem.
Highly recommended, even in emergencies and difficult situations, providing clear, competent, and calm assistance with horses. Understanding and friendly to both horse and human, even in acute emergencies, with quick and targeted action. Highly recommended.
I myself have been working full-time as a state-certified farrier for 20 years. The collaboration with Dr. Pichon is always exemplary.
A fantastic veterinarian who takes her time and is very attentive to both horse and owner. She also reflects on her equine patients afterward. Absolutely recommendable. We are very happy to have found such a good veterinarian for our three horses.
