Tierarztpraxis Rolf F. Herzel

I've been seeing Dr. Herzel for three years now and am glad I ended up there after my previous veterinarian retired. My senior male dog had a tumor that was immediately identified and removed. It was a large ulcer that quickly grew to 700 grams. Thanks to the excellent aftercare, the wound healed very well, even though the incision was quite large. A year and a half ago, we noticed something unusual in my dog. She was panting and drinking excessively, and she was also suddenly having to urinate. After a quick check, a blood test, and an ultrasound, it turned out she had a uterine infection. We had the choice of whether to try medication first or surgery. We chose the latter and are glad we did! The dogs love the doctor and always enjoy coming! And so do we! I like his direct manner!

We found our way to Dr. Herzel through a recommendation from our late veterinarian. He's just like our former vet: he acts in the best interests of the animal and doesn't mince words. I don't want to be placated during my pet's treatment; I want to know what's right and good for my animal—and preferably in plain language. And Dr. Herzel does that very well. Nevertheless, I find Dr. Herzel to be an empathetic veterinarian with a wealth of expertise. In combination with Dr. Kroiß, the practice is also highly recommended for surgical procedures. A practice with a veterinary anesthesiologist is rare and usually only found in hospitals. The two of them took excellent care of our dog and were always there to answer our questions. In addition to our 12-year-old mixed-breed dog, our two cats are also treated at Dr. Herzel's practice. The practice team is very friendly and they have a wonderful way with the animals. Mr. Herzel's sense of humor might not be for everyone, and that's perfectly fine. But ultimately, animals don't understand jokes; they just want to be treated well, and that's definitely the case here. Thank you so much for everything! P.S. We took our dwarf rabbit, Rocky, to Dr. Herzel's veterinary practice because of serious dental problems. The vet and his entire team are very competent and compassionate. Rocky had surgery, and we were more than satisfied. Rocky is an older rabbit, and thanks to Dr. Herzel and his team, he came through it all very well. We can wholeheartedly recommend this practice. 5 stars and more.

I wasn't there myself; a very nice neighbor and friend offered to drive Sammy to his practice on Monday. Sammy had to be there at 8 a.m., and everything went perfectly. He immediately went into the trunk where she had a large crate. Unfortunately, he couldn't quite manage it, so off he went! 😂🐕😘🤗🐾🐾🐾🐾 What was necessary was done, and he did it really well. I completely agree with him. I can recommend him to anyone who treats small animals, dogs, etc. Thank you so much, Dr. Herzel, for the excellent treatment of my most loyal friend. Absolutely delighted with Dr. Herzel and his team! Everyone there loves their work and gives their all. Dr. Herzel's straightforward manner and his high level of expertise not only ensure a relaxed appointment for both animal and owner, but also occasionally tickle your funny bone. I'll never go to another vet!
