I wasn't there myself; a very nice neighbor and friend offered to drive Sammy to his practice on Monday. Sammy had to be there at 8 a.m., and everything went perfectly. He immediately went into the trunk where she had a large crate. Unfortunately, he couldn't quite manage it, so off he went! 😂🐕😘🤗🐾🐾🐾🐾 What was necessary was done, and he did it really well. I completely agree with him. I can recommend him to anyone who treats small animals, dogs, etc. Thank you so much, Dr. Herzel, for the excellent treatment of my most loyal friend. He's my treasure, especially for lonely people. 💝🐕🐾🌹🌻🌻

I've been going to Dr. Herzel for three years now and I'm so glad I found him after my previous vet retired. My senior male dog had a tumor that was immediately detected and removed. It was a large growth that quickly reached 700 grams. Thanks to the excellent aftercare, the wound healed very well, even though the incision was quite large. Then, a year and a half ago, we noticed some unusual symptoms in my female dog. She was panting heavily and drinking excessively, and she suddenly started running around a lot. After a quick examination, blood tests, and an ultrasound, it turned out she had a uterine infection. We had the choice of trying medication first or opting for surgery. We chose the latter and we're so glad we did! The dogs love the vet and always enjoy coming to see him! And so do we! I appreciate his straightforward manner!

We went to Mr. Herzel's vet on a Sunday because of an emergency with our cat, who had stopped eating. On the first day, he examined her and said everything was fine, that she was just being "fussy" and picky, which was why she wasn't eating. On the second day, after there was no improvement, we went back. We initially found Mr. Herzel somewhat unfriendly, as he claimed our cat only had gastritis. He then agreed to a blood test. The result: elevated liver values. He prescribed an appetite stimulant and an injection for gastritis. In total, we were there for two and a half hours that day, which was extremely stressful for our cat. On the third day, we went back again, and she gave another injection for gastritis. The cat still wouldn't eat. We were told to force-feed her with a syringe and were also given tablets for her liver. We were told to come back in a week. At home, she continued to get worse, so we took her to a veterinary clinic in the area. Blood was drawn, an ultrasound was performed, and she also had an X-ray. Something was found in her abdomen, and she was experiencing abdominal pain. She had emergency surgery the next day. The result: lymphoma and a fatty liver, likely due to her refusal to eat. It may be that Mr. Herzel is more empathetic and dedicated with his patients. My family didn't find him that way. His handling of our very anxious and also very sick cat was quite rough. We found Dr. Kroiß to be more sensitive. We chose this practice primarily because of its technical equipment and opening hours. Unfortunately, our beloved cat had to be euthanized a few days later at the veterinary clinic, which broke our entire family's hearts. Perhaps nothing could have been done to change the outcome, but she could have been spared this ordeal, and above all, we could have been taken more seriously.

We dropped off our beloved 6-year-old cat for a minor dental procedure, and after about an hour and a half, we were able to pick up her lifeless body. She was our everything, a member of our family, and now she's gone. Our world has collapsed. According to my aunt, who works at a veterinary clinic, she's never encountered anything like this in 25 years. Please take your pet somewhere else and NOT to this vet!!

We came to this veterinary practice for the first time today because we live nearby. I called ahead and said I wanted to get my cat vaccinated against ticks. The receptionist on the phone said we could just drop in. When we arrived, the vet examined my cat, found some tartar, and immediately said that a tooth needed to be extracted. I told him right away that I didn't want that because he's a young cat—only 5 years old and hopefully has many years ahead of him. When I asked about the tick vaccination, he said there was no such thing and asked sarcastically if I'd read about it on "Dr. Google" or "ChatGPT." If they don't offer such vaccinations, why were I told on the phone that we could just come in? He also said there were no tick vaccinations, only a tablet or a spot-on treatment. I agreed to this and said we would have the tartar removed at another practice. He reacted very aggressively, put my cat back in the carrier, and practically threw us out of the practice. I am truly shocked by such behavior towards people. Mr. Herzel, just because your practice doesn't offer certain treatments—such as tick prevention or tartar removal—doesn't mean that other veterinary practices don't. Furthermore, you haven't considered one thing: I work for a dentist and know very well when tartar is so severe that a procedure is necessary. I will definitely not be going back to this practice and cannot recommend it to anyone.
