Dr. Petra Zsivanovits Tierärztliche Praxis für Vogelmedizin

We took our budgie to Dr. Zsivanovits and are very satisfied. She and her team are very competent and friendly. She diagnosed our budgie with a testicular tumor, but we have complete confidence in her treatment methods, and she explained the situation to us very well. The long drive was definitely worth it!

A very good, competent doctor with sensitivity, especially if there is bad news for the bird owners, particularly if the owners are children.

In my opinion, Dr. Zsivanovits is a very competent and experienced avian veterinarian. You can immediately tell that she has real expertise and experience – and with birds, that's unfortunately not always a given. I've had quite different experiences where it quickly became clear that many veterinarians aren't really confident or skilled with birds. They're often seen wearing thick gloves, the animals scream terribly, and you can just tell that their grip and handling aren't right. Here, my experience was completely different. What I personally find a bit of a shame is that you can't be present during the examination. I sometimes wish that weren't the case. But I assume there are good reasons for this, and I trust her experience. However, you also have to be aware that: Such expertise naturally comes at a price. I've often been taken aback by the bill – but honestly, I'd rather pay someone who really knows their stuff than waste money somewhere else and end up wasting it because the problem wasn't treated or diagnosed correctly. My birds have always received excellent care there, and I've always felt I received sound professional advice. I'd also like to mention the lovely assistant, who is very friendly and even helps out when animals need to be carried in or out. Overall, everything seems very organized, calm, and not overcrowded, which I find particularly pleasant for sensitive animals. Of course, such a visit isn't cheap – but good training, experience, and specialized treatment do cost money. And with birds, you're unfortunately lucky if you can find someone who really knows what they're doing. Luckily, we don't have to go there all the time – but when we do, I feel well cared for.

A very competent doctor. She explains things well and discusses treatment options. She strikes a good balance, neither being too bleak nor too embellished with the truth. My vulture is in good hands there.

I had two sick budgies and received excellent advice. Everything was quick and easy. Both birds are completely healthy again. You can ask questions about anything, and the expertise is clearly evident. I really appreciate that.
