Reviews
Good care, well-chosen medication, and our buddy is healthy again. Thank you. Justyna and Uli.
I personally find Dr. Platzen to be a very competent equine veterinarian. Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience with her young colleague, and despite my complaint, I was still charged for a substandard examination and travel expenses. I've learned my lesson and will unfortunately not be using their services again.
Expensive, unfriendly, and unenthusiastic. Our dog was hit by a car, they took an x-ray, and then said it needed to be treated at the veterinary clinic. We paid 400 euros for the x-ray and 10 minutes of their time. Outrageous! That's the only word for it.
We agree with the previous review regarding a young colleague. Two appointments took place (Appointment 1: pain medication administered, 15 min; Appointment 2: horse had to be euthanized while lying down upon arrival, 15 min). Both were billed at three times the standard emergency rate, whereas previously we were only familiar with double the standard rate for emergency services. After receiving an invoice for €1154.15 from a registered billing service/licensed debt collection agency, we understandably called the veterinary practice to clarify the amount. We also wanted to verify the invoice's accuracy, as we were only familiar with invoices issued directly by veterinarians. On the phone, a very friendly woman informed us that the responsible veterinarian would contact us regarding the outstanding invoice. Unfortunately, the behavior on the phone when the veterinarian called back was the complete opposite. I have never experienced such unfriendly and disrespectful treatment before. We have paid the invoices properly, however, we will definitely not be using their services for our second horse. One star is awarded for the proper execution of the euthanasia, but deductions are made for the points mentioned above.
