The best veterinary practice. After our vet abandoned us with our terminally ill Bernese Mountain Dog, we contacted the Buntenkötter practice, which has provided excellent care for our horses for many years. They have also been incredibly supportive with our two dogs. A huge thank you to the entire team from the whole Becker family in Lotte.

The worst vet I've ever experienced when it comes to emergencies. My first dog was an emergency case; I called the emergency clinic at noon and was given an appointment for 6:30 PM. If I hadn't gone to another vet, she would have died from her injuries. She then had emergency surgery at the other vet. Now the same thing is happening again. They claim the vets aren't always available, so you have to take whatever appointment you can get. Perhaps they should list available appointment times in writing and not provide an emergency number if they can't guarantee treatment in an emergency.

I am completely satisfied with the Buntenköter veterinary practice. Especially when it comes to horses, you feel truly well cared for here. The entire team is incredibly friendly, calm with the animals, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. I would particularly like to highlight their emergency service – even in urgent situations, they arrived quickly and provided expert assistance. As a horse owner, this gives you real peace of mind. Their expertise is absolutely top-notch, and they are always fair – you never feel pressured into anything. Highly recommended! 🐴

A veterinary practice that should be avoided at all costs, especially for treating horses. They present themselves as highly specialized in dental treatment, but primarily see it as an easy and lucrative job to make a quick buck. They came to our house twice, and astonishingly, all the horses had the exact same diagnosis each time, allowing them to charge the maximum fee. Each time, there were at least six to ten horses. In the second instance, we appealed and took legal action. We lost the case, but the judge clearly had no interest in delving into the veterinary fee schedule. Thankfully, we then found a reputable practice that treats each horse individually and documents everything properly. The costs are now about half. Buntenkötter's was a complete rip-off.
