Pferdeklinik Ankum

Unfortunately, this was my first time there this year due to an emergency. The veterinarians were incredibly competent and dedicated themselves wholeheartedly to saving my horse's life! I would go back again in a heartbeat! I hope I don't have to go to a clinic again anytime soon. But if it happens again and again, I'll have to go back to Ankum!

Professional and competent, friendly doctors and staff, we felt our horses were in good hands.

My very first horse was a patient in Ankum. When I had a colic emergency, they offered me a transparent breakdown of the costs I would likely incur, which, unlike at other clinics in the area, seemed truly manageable and fair. Since then, my horses have been patients in Ankum, and we always feel warmly cared for! Even afterward, they are always available to answer questions and provide brief updates. Ms. Steinemann at reception is always friendly and very helpful! They also helped me with paperwork and documents for my insurance after an operation. We have also used the mobile veterinary service for minor issues, and we have nothing but positive things to say about them as well. My asthmatic horse had a minor flare-up, and we had Ms. Essig come to us for a second opinion. She really took her time, provided us with expert advice, and developed a plan with us week by week based on status updates. Communication with the clinic's previous internist also worked wonderfully, so I didn't have to explain much! ... We remain loyal to Ankum – even though we're always happy not to see the lovely team too often! 🐎🏥

I took my horse to Ankum for a gastroscopy. We received a very warm welcome, even though we didn't arrive until 6:30 pm. Our horse was also very well looked after. Everything was explained to us in detail, and we left feeling reassured. The next day, we were able to pick up our horse. The veterinarian explained everything thoroughly and took her time to do so. Yesterday, we went back to Ankum for a follow-up appointment, and it was just as pleasant and caring as the first time. I highly recommend the clinic and would gladly return [hopefully not]!
