I'm completely satisfied! My dog has been going there since she was a puppy and is visibly comfortable every time. Despite being spayed and even occasionally having some unpleasant examinations, she looks forward to every visit – that really says it all. The vet is always calm, relaxed, and gentle with my dog. The explanations are clear, thorough, and honest, so you always feel well cared for. A truly fantastic veterinarian – competent, empathetic, and highly recommended. Simply top-notch!

Unfortunately, we recently had a very negative experience at this veterinary practice. Despite a platelet count of only 11 G/L in her blood, with a lower normal range of 110 G/L for dogs—meaning only 10% of the lower limit of normal, which is considered an absolute emergency and poses a risk of internal bleeding—our dog was not referred to a veterinary hospital. Since four days had already passed since the blood draw on the day the results were announced, and our dog's condition had deteriorated since then, the possibility that the platelet count might have dropped even further should have been considered. Instead, Mr. Leppin simply administered three IV infusions (including cortisone), sent my mother and dog home, and advised her to contact a veterinary hospital only if her condition worsened. This happened the following day, and as a result, the veterinary hospital, despite having a donor dog available for a potential blood transfusion, could do nothing more for our dog. The platelet count had already dropped so low that day that it was no longer measurable. While it's unclear whether our dog could have been saved a day earlier, it's incomprehensible why this emergency wasn't recognized as such or why appropriate action wasn't taken. Unfortunately, it then took several more days, including two emails and a phone call, before Mr. Leppin provided further, requested lab results. Although he attempted a rather unconvincing explanation after being asked, what was even more disappointing was the complete lack of any word of regret or sympathy—especially since my mother had been a patient there with our last two dogs since Mr. Leppin took over the practice from Dr. Martinsen ten years ago. We are therefore very sad and very disappointed in several respects.

I had to find a new vet for my little Havanese because of a move. Dr. Leppin was recommended to me, and I'm very grateful for that. My dog isn't afraid to enter the practice here. I'm so glad I found such an empathetic and competent vet for my Happy.
