Reviews
If it were up to Dr. Simon, I'd give him zero stars... but the one star goes to his team, who were always helpful and friendly. He told me I should tidy up the apartment so my cat wouldn't play with things and swallow them... basically telling me it was my fault my cat had an intestinal blockage. Of course... do your job as a veterinarian and don't talk so much when the cat and its owners are already suffering. You profit from exactly these kinds of cases, Dr. Simon! In such a situation, I wish for more empathy and compassion towards the animal and its owners. Professional competence is important, and Dr. Simon certainly has that, but the tone he uses is just as important. Human dignity is inviolable! You know who I am; I expect an apology!
We switched from Dr. Simon's veterinary practice to another one some time ago because we repeatedly found the way they treated us as clients and the staff to be disrespectful. A few days ago, we experienced a particularly distressing situation. Our current vet had already finished for the day, so in our desperation, we called the practice because our dog was dying. We called two minutes before closing time. On the phone, we were told that it was two minutes before closing, that we hadn't been to the practice in four years, and that we should therefore go to an animal hospital. Legally, the practice did nothing wrong. However, from a human perspective, we found this reaction very harsh and unempathetic, especially towards the suffering animal. We could have been there within minutes, and our dog could have been spared suffering in her final moments. Instead, she had to endure this time in a dying state until we could find help at an animal hospital. This assessment is not directed against the legal situation, but against the humane treatment in an absolutely exceptional situation, in which we would have wished for compassion towards the animal.
We are incredibly grateful to have Dr. Simon, Dr. Simon, and the entire team at this wonderful veterinary practice by our side. Such competence, dedication, and warmth are truly rare! Our Bengal cat had to undergo emergency surgery due to an intestinal obstruction – and even though the Simon family was leaving for vacation the next morning, they operated on our cat that very evening. This commitment and the natural way they were there for us in such a situation means the world to us. We will never forget it! The situation was also very serious with our second cat, who was just 7 months old: she was diagnosed with FIP. Thanks to the early diagnosis and the empathetic, expert care during treatment, our cat is now back in top form and living a completely normal, happy cat life. We felt very well advised and supported throughout this difficult time. Here, they don't just provide top-notch medical care – they treat patients with heart. The entire team is incredibly friendly, empathetic, and always available. You feel understood, taken seriously, and in the best possible hands. The situation is similarly serious with our second cat, who was just 7 months old: she was diagnosed with FIP. Thanks to the early diagnosis and the sensitive, expert care during treatment, our cat is now back on her feet and living a completely normal, happy life. If you're looking for a veterinary practice with a big heart, professional expertise, and a truly lovely team, you've come to the right place! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything! 🐾💛
I've always been very satisfied! The team has a very positive atmosphere. No matter the time of day, everyone is incredibly nice and friendly. Especially Dr. Fahrer and Ms. Vercauteren. They treat both people and animals with great care!
