Kleintierpraxis Axel Hennig in Helmstedt

On Sunday at 7:30 a.m., Ronja (a Labrador mix) tore her lower eyelid by 2 cm. Dr. Hennig pulled out all the stops to organize an assistant for the surgery. The operation went very well, excellent work, and we were able to pick Ronja up at 3:00 p.m. Dr. Hennig could easily work as a cosmetic surgeon; he stitched the eyelid so well.

This is the worst veterinarian ever. We wanted to go to the emergency vet today to have a rabbit put down, which isn't a big deal. We called, explained the situation, and were immediately brushed off; he said he didn't have time. If I could give negative stars, I'd definitely give him five. This person is a disaster.

It's a shame, it seems only dogs and cats are treated here. Other animals, like raccoons, apparently aren't worth treating. All I can say is, it's the wrong profession.

What a great vet! He just tried to explain to me on the phone that today, November 3rd, 2025, is a public holiday in Helmstedt and therefore he is not giving out any information over the phone.
