Reviews
A friendly welcome from the ladies and competent advice from Dr. Kolb. The investigation into the cause was carried out thoroughly, and we, as humans, were included and received a precise explanation of what was being done and why. We were also able to laugh together, which is important to us. Our dog accepted the vet and found him nice—what more could we want? Conclusion: We highly recommend Dr. Kolb and his friendly team!
I regret to inform you that I must retract my positive review! My dog was refused treatment here simply because we had been to another vet in the meantime, out of desperation, not because we were dissatisfied with this practice. We initially went here for emergency care and were very happy with the service. However, due to the proximity and ongoing problems, we switched to a closer vet, where we were absolutely dissatisfied. I wanted to return to this practice, but I was "allowed" to do so because I had been to another vet in the meantime. Despite my deep concern for my pet, I was turned away in a very unfriendly manner. I am extremely disappointed and shocked that an animal in urgent need of help can be denied treatment simply because someone had been to another vet out of necessity. Since we don't trust the other practice enough, we would have gladly returned here, but now we are not allowed to! How can you simply refuse patients just because they were forced to see ONE (not 10) other vets in the meantime? I could have documented/proven everything that was done, but we weren't even given that chance! It's simply unacceptable that a friendly, desperate "customer" is dismissed so rudely and insolently on the phone. Apparently, no one here cares that people are suffering because of situations like this or because of such behavior. Inhumane behavior! Especially given this unbelievable rudeness on the phone! Unfortunately, I can only advise against visiting this practice!
By far the most unprofessional veterinarian I have ever encountered. Profit-driven and absolutely no empathy for the animal. Anyone who cares about their animals should steer clear of him. This should be reported.
Finding a truly good veterinarian is really difficult! On the recommendation of our (then retired) vet, we found our way to Dr. Kolb with our little hunting dog, and we have never regretted that decision. The team is always friendly, empathetic, and incredibly helpful. Scheduling appointments (especially for working people from neighboring towns who don't always finish work on time) is quick, easy, and reliable. With his calm, competent, and empathetic manner, Dr. Kolb has a calming effect not only on our furry friends but also on their accompanying humans. There's never any unnecessary fuss; instead, he efficiently treats what's necessary. Our dog goes to the practice happily and without any fear – she's always the first one through the door – whether it's for surgery or a "simple" but no less bothersome cough. Therefore, a very heartfelt thank you to the entire team, and here's to many more years!
This vet is appalling. We took our 11-year-old dog there to have her euthanized. She had black stool, a cyst in her kidney, and couldn't walk for two days. Despite the findings from the veterinary clinic, he refused to euthanize our princess. And in the end, just for taking her temperature, he charged €115! I absolutely do not recommend him!
