The emergency vet hotline said, "Petting and feeding the cat is enough," when I asked if I should bring her in directly, as she had eaten a poisonous lily, and then joked about the consultation fee. Overnight, the situation deteriorated rapidly. I am very disappointed at how "jokingly" this animal's life was treated, and now I can only hope she doesn't suffer kidney damage, since I didn't act immediately on his advice.
