I wish I could report something more positive, but this will probably be my only visit here. Despite having an appointment, the wait was almost an hour, apparently because many people were on vacation. Normally, you know this in advance and offer fewer appointments. But anyway, luckily we weren't in a hurry. The owner of the practice examined my pet herself, but unfortunately, she did a rather half-hearted job without a proper medical history. I've experienced much better at other practices – even when they're pressed for time. A proper medical history is crucial for correctly assessing and treating problems! Diagnoses were made off the cuff (and way off the mark) and outdated treatment options were offered. Purely prophylactic antibiotics were administered WITHOUT any indication and without checking the animal's previous tolerance to antibiotics... on a healthy animal! ...you shouldn't just hand out medications like these indiscriminately, but only use them selectively to avoid unnecessarily burdening the animal's system or causing resistance. You shouldn't just use medications like these indiscriminately, but only when necessary, so as not to unnecessarily burden the animal's system or risk the development of antibiotic resistance. The medical history is crucial for properly assessing and treating problems! Diagnoses were made haphazardly (and way off the mark) and outdated treatment options were offered. I had detailed answers to many of my questions because I'm a thoughtful and attentive pet owner. Unfortunately, these questions weren't asked. Instead, I had to correct the vet when she jumped to conclusions due to a lack of prior consultation. What a shame! I would give the friendly staff 5 stars, but for me, professional expertise is paramount. Having to contradict a qualified veterinarian multiple times, even as a well-informed, attentive, and (veterinary) medicine-savvy pet owner, doesn't reflect well on me and, more importantly, doesn't inspire confidence. I'm glad that the vast majority of patients feel well cared for here. Perhaps we just caught her on a bad day. Nevertheless, we won't be returning.

With heavy hearts, we had to say goodbye to our beloved old dog, Marley. Since we've always taken all our animals to Dr. Wintz, she was also there for us during this final step. What can I say? If I could give 10 stars, I would. Marley was able to fall asleep peacefully and with dignity in his bed in our car. Dr. Wintz and her team didn't want to perform a thousand more tests, but instead let him go with such warmth and love. We can't thank them enough for making this possible, allowing him to fall asleep in his familiar surroundings without stress. Thank you so much ❤️
