I have received help from this clinic on several occasions, which is precisely why it is so difficult for me to write a negative review. However, after the loss of my dog, I unfortunately cannot assess the situation any differently. In my opinion, a serious medical error was made during the first visit. While my dog ​​was still in relatively stable condition, no necessary diagnostic tests or clinical examinations were performed. As a result, a misdiagnosis was made and the wrong treatment was prescribed. Instead of urgently needed surgery, my dog ​​received painkillers that only temporarily masked his critical condition. Unfortunately, this resulted in a loss of valuable time. I would like to address the doctors at this clinic: Please always conduct thorough diagnostics and necessary examinations before diagnosis and treatment. Our animals' lives depend on it. I would also like to advise pet owners: Don't be afraid to insist on examinations and diagnostics—at least basic blood tests. The loss of a pet is an immeasurable pain and a profound loss for the entire family. And the hardest part for me is probably that I can't forgive myself or the doctors for what happened. When she received the painkillers, it initially seemed as if she was doing better, as the numbing effect of the medication allowed her to walk, eat, etc., normally. As soon as she started vomiting, we went back to the clinic, and even at our second appointment, when she was already vomiting and had a high fever, a proper examination wasn't performed. A new diagnosis was made, an antibiotic was administered, and we were sent home again. Only the following day, when I brought my dog ​​back to the clinic in a significantly worsened condition and asked to admit her for treatment, were the necessary examinations carried out. Only then did the emergency surgery take place. Unfortunately, it was already too late, and my dog ​​couldn't be saved. After losing my dog, I would have appreciated compassion and understanding above all else, instead of a predominantly defensive response and blame being placed on me. I'm not writing this to attack anyone, but in the hope that similar situations will lead to earlier and more comprehensive diagnoses in the future.

We were there today for the first time with our cat due to an "emergency." The ladies at the front desk were all incredibly friendly. Even though it was our first time there, we were immediately told we could come in. Mr. Andreas Scharf was incredibly friendly and competent, as was the assistant in the treatment room. He even managed to make us laugh despite our panic and quickly calmed us down. We are so relieved that we received such quick and effective help! Highly recommended!

Our cat was hit by a car, had bleeding in his mouth, and was very lethargic. We immediately called the veterinary practice and were able to bring him in right away. The entire team reacted quickly, welcomed us warmly, and immediately took care of our cat. We felt well cared for in this stressful situation. Thank you so much for the prompt assistance, the expert treatment, and the attentive care. We wholeheartedly recommend this practice.

I take my two cats to Dr. Windhorst. She's a truly lovely and dedicated veterinarian. The veterinary assistants there are also very friendly. I always get an appointment quickly, or she calls me back if needed to clarify any brief questions about a treatment.
