Very friendly service. Prices reasonable. Good animal technique. Our dog was not nervous for long and became very relaxed.

Today we had to have our 13.5-year-old dog put down. It was an incredibly difficult decision for the whole family. For days, our dog had barely been able to stand, was hardly eating, was incontinent, and was clearly showing the effects of old age. Unfortunately, the way the vet handled this situation was very disappointing. Instead of being sensitive to the situation, my father was told that the dog "still looked fit" and that responsible owners usually "fight for their pet" and don't just have it euthanized. Such statements are completely inappropriate in an already extremely emotionally charged situation. No one makes this decision lightly. Especially when an animal is old, losing its bodily functions, and clearly declining, for many owners it's a final act of care to prevent further suffering. We would have appreciated significantly more empathy and understanding. The decision to let a beloved pet go is hard enough. No one needs additional moralizing from the vet at this time.

I visited the Grüne Pfote veterinary practice today for the first time with my two little kittens and I'm absolutely thrilled. The vet and the entire team were very friendly. The examination was very gentle, and the vet answered all my questions and took plenty of time. My kittens felt very comfortable and would have loved to stay longer. What I also thought was fantastic was that we were seen immediately and didn't have to wait at all. The price was also perfectly reasonable :) Thank you so much!

We took our cat, who was not even a year old at the time, to the Grünepfote small animal clinic for spaying because we had heard many good things about the practice. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. Immediately after the operation, our cat was extremely lethargic for two days and, in retrospect, also had a fever. The wound was moist and oozing pus. When we called and described the symptoms, we were allowed to come in that same day. However, in our opinion, the examination was not thorough: no temperature was taken, and the wound was barely examined. We were told everything was fine and sent home. A few days later, the wound was still moist and inflamed. At the appointment to have the stitches removed, they were taken out despite the clearly inflamed wound—and not even all of them were removed completely. Later, we learned from another veterinarian that apparently the wrong suture material had been used and that the wound care had not been clean or sterile enough. Our cat's condition deteriorated drastically: she had a fever of almost 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit), stopped eating, and was completely weak. We eventually went to a different veterinary clinic. There, we were told that the spaying procedure and the aftercare had been very poorly performed. Our cat needed antibiotics, and it took over two weeks for her to recover. This experience was very distressing for us, and unfortunately, we would not recommend this clinic after our experience.
