We love this practice! Dr. Hüttig and his colleagues saved our Golden Retriever, Maya. We called numerous veterinarians because she needed emergency surgery for a pyometra (uterine infection), and everyone turned us away except this practice. They were able to see us immediately, and the surgery took place within a very short time. Our Maya loves all the staff there and is always happy when we go. Dr. Hüttig and everyone else took a lot of time to answer our questions and did everything they could to help Maya. Thanks to them, she's already feeling so much better, even though it was almost too late for her. At the same time, the prices for this major surgery were incredibly fair, and they were always accommodating and didn't charge us any extra fees. I highly recommend this practice because you can tell that the animals' well-being is their top priority. Thanks again to the whole team! ❤️
We were referred by our regular vet for a more thorough examination of his heart failure and abdominal organs. Dr. Hüttig took a lot of time for us, explained everything clearly, and we were able to carry out the diagnostic procedures in a way that worked best for us (dog on my lap instead of lying down). The results were sent directly to our regular vet's office, and we had a phone call to discuss them. We also received an updated treatment plan. I felt very well cared for and in good hands. Thank you so much! 🍀👍
I took my cat to Dr. Hüttig's practice for a cardiac ultrasound, as per a referral. Booking an appointment via the online portal works very well and is straightforward. However, I have reservations about the accessibility – when calling, you only reach an answering machine with a reference to the online portal, and unfortunately, I haven't received a reply to my email. The practice itself makes a calm and clean impression; the furnishings appear modern, and the staff are very patient and friendly with both people and animals. The waiting time during my visit was quite long at over two hours, but it must be said that Dr. Hüttig clearly dedicates a lot of time to each animal and gives a very competent impression. Nevertheless, in my opinion, it would be significantly less stressful for the animals if they were notified by phone or message of anticipated delays, so that one could arrive a little later and avoid having to wait so long in the waiting room.
Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the process. I had scheduled an appointment for my cat's spaying. However, it turned out that the appointment had not been correctly entered into the system, which led to organizational problems. My cat was dropped off at 9:00 a.m., but didn't receive the anesthesia until around 11:00 a.m. As a result, she had to wait unnecessarily long on an empty stomach and in unfamiliar surroundings, without me being informed. After the procedure, I would have appreciated a brief personal consultation with the veterinarian. Unfortunately, there seemed to be no time for this, so important information was only conveyed very briefly. Especially after surgery, as a pet owner, you expect a proper explanation of the procedure and aftercare. While the spaying itself went smoothly according to the practice, the organizational process and communication left me with a disappointing impression.
