Reviews
They were able to help us, and the dog received treatment. Subsequently, her overall condition deteriorated significantly, making euthanasia seem inevitable. We called in the morning and arranged to come shortly before noon for the procedure. Upon arrival, the waiting room was full. The assumption in such cases is that we'll be seen after the next patient, as they don't bring in a suffering and resigned animal out of boredom. Contrary to expectations, we waited with the dog in the car. We went back in to explain the urgency... and after waiting for an hour, with two other patients still waiting, we left the waiting room and took the dog. No empathy, no understanding, no flexibility in a situation where both human and animal had prepared for a painful journey.
We were at the practice today with an acute emergency. We would like to thank you again for the quick and uncomplicated help. We are so glad we were in such competent hands. Thank you again 🙏🏻 Our dog is doing well again 😊 We would also like to thank the waiting patients for their understanding and apologize again for "pushing in" 🫣 Thank you, dear practice team, for your help 🙏🏻😊 Pebbels and family
No matter how dire the animal's situation, this practice doesn't even accept new patients in exceptional circumstances. They might as well remove their Google listing and shut down their website. If they're only accepting existing patients, contacting them is completely pointless for all other pet owners. I understand that a practice can't accept an endless number of new patients. But not offering a waiting list or an emergency solution can be fatal for the animal. Currently, there are hardly any other options in Gera: The Lusan Animal Clinic is closed for vacation, the Winter practice only accepts a very limited number of complex surgical cases during the summer, and other practices are so full that you often have to wait several weeks (some are practically unreachable by phone). Traveling to another city is, firstly, a huge risk for a seriously ill or recently operated animal in the heat. And secondly, not everyone is mobile enough to manage such long journeys.
I just wanted to say thank you to the team at this veterinary practice. They stand out not only for their personal qualities but also for the quality of their work. From the empathetic veterinarian to the lovely veterinary assistants, they are all so caring and warm! You always feel for your beloved pet when something is wrong. Thank you so much for the excellent care you provide for both animals and their owners. I take my hat off to them, because it's not an easy job. Please keep up the great work! Pixie (my dog) is in the best possible hands there. Without a doubt, this is the veterinary practice I trust. 5 stars plus an extra star!
