The LMU equine clinic did an outstanding job treating and caring for my horse, even though I ended up having to drive home with an empty horse trailer. After a paddock accident, we couldn't continue the treatment at home, so I contacted the clinic as the symptoms steadily worsened. The initial consultation was thorough, and the transport was straightforward. I was able to be present for all examinations and was informed about every step. Furthermore, and this was important to me with an older horse, I wasn't advised to undergo any expensive or extensive diagnostic procedures that were unnecessary for the already clear clinical picture and stressful for the horse. All the diagnostic work done beforehand was conducted objectively and without prejudice. I found both veterinarians to be extremely competent and empathetic right to the very end, and there was never any sense that, even when euthanasia became the only option, they were rushing to get rid of a patient who was beyond help. This clear and respectful approach was a great comfort to me, and my horse passed away peacefully. Ultimately, it's always borrowed time, even though we tend to forget that during the good times, and that's why I was so grateful that we both received such comprehensive support in the end. My horse was taken to the clinic due to a very high, persistent fever. He was treated with absolute professionalism. They did everything possible to find the cause as quickly as possible. Unnecessary treatments were avoided. The clinic staff was very friendly, and I received updates twice a day. He received excellent care around the clock and was able to recover very quickly as a result. Thank you for your work!

My review is a bit late, but I absolutely must give my warmest and unqualified recommendation to the LMU Munich Equine Clinic and especially to Dr. Wollanke. Our Haflinger mare suffered from an eye condition and spent about two weeks at the clinic for treatment, after we had tried several months of outpatient treatment with our regular vet. It was a rollercoaster ride, and ultimately he recommended we contact the clinic. At the clinic, she underwent a procedure, and since then, her condition has only improved. The treatment took place last summer, and since then, she has finally had the peace and quiet we had hoped for for her health. Dr. Wollanke kept me informed throughout her stay and answered all my questions. The reception staff and the entire team were also friendly and helpful. Even though we certainly hope we won't have to go to a clinic again, we would definitely choose the equine clinic for treatment again, despite the longer journey. The trip was absolutely worth it.

Highly recommended clinic and Dr. Schoster for colic in horses! I felt very well advised and ultimately brought my horse from the Rhine-Main area to the clinic for a week. After daily updates on the examinations, we were finally able to get help!
