5 Stars – Absolutely recommended! I can only say that this is the best veterinary practice I have ever found! The vet is simply fantastic, and my pet received truly excellent care. I felt very comfortable and well looked after. My dog, Hitch, wasn't at all anxious, which I really appreciated. Even though we walked in without an appointment due to an emergency, everything was taken care of immediately, and I'm sure this will now be our "go-to" vet. I find it particularly impressive that they really take their time with each individual animal, and the vet is even available afterward via WhatsApp to make sure the animal is doing well. Hitch received immediate help, and we were able to alleviate his symptoms right away. Thanks to the thorough consultation, the competent vet was also able to rule out various possible causes. A huge compliment to this wonderful practice and the superb service! We feel completely well cared for and can wholeheartedly recommend this practice!

We went to the emergency veterinary clinic, Dr. May, on Sunday. I have to say, I found the treatment and the interaction with him excellent. He took a superb medical history of the dog, since he didn't know him, examined him thoroughly, and adjusted the treatment accordingly. We were given all the necessary information, and the treatment was explained to us step by step. I understand points like him not wearing gloves, etc., but you could see that the veterinary assistant cleans the entire examination room after each animal. He really took his time with each animal. This naturally made the waiting times a bit longer, but since he apparently takes a really good medical history with every animal, the wait was worth it to me. The only downside is that the practice is quite old and doesn't have any digital systems. But that's really not a reason for a bad review. I don't have to approve of him not wearing gloves for his own protection, but that's his own decision.

Short version: For heaven's sake, don't go there. That guy will only make your pet sick. Long version: I could overlook the fact that this man is unfriendly, even insulting, if it were for my dog's well-being. However, his preferred examination method seems to be palpating the dog's back with Q-tips (is he looking for acupuncture points or receiving hyperdimensional vibrations? I don't know, sorry). We originally took our dog there because she had a rash and a swollen genital area. But using the Q-tip method, the man promptly diagnosed a liver condition. Then Dr. May examined our dog's genitals. Mind you, without gloves and without disinfecting his hands beforehand, he simply grabbed and squeezed. And yes, our poor dog understandably jumped up almost to the ceiling. His conclusion was that the dog had been in pain for a long time and urgently needed pain medication. I was completely taken aback. I spend practically 24/7 with my dog. We play Frisbee every day, wrestle with other dogs, cuddle, romp around… So how could I not have noticed that she was so seriously ill that even the touch of a cotton swab on her back made her wince in pain?! Panicked, we had Dr. May do a blood test on our dog for 200 euros. The result was that her liver values ​​were within the normal range. But according to him, these lab results meant absolutely nothing (after all, the Q-tips had spoken!). This man and his assistant then sent us on our way with a referral for an X-ray and the feeling that our dog and her terrible "drinker's liver" were already halfway to the grave. The next day, completely distraught, we drove to a veterinary clinic in Saarbrücken, where they finally gave our dog a proper examination. Which, in plain terms, meant ultrasound instead of Q-tips. There, two different veterinarians even examined the dog's genitals without her so much as flinching. Conclusion: Our dog's liver is a perfect 10 out of 10. It couldn't be better. She's in no pain whatsoever, and the rash was gone by the next morning thanks to the medication the clinic gave us. Thank you, Dr. May, for costing us a fortune and giving us a sleepless night. We're treating our visit to you as an early Halloween prank.
