Yesterday, he gave a small fawn that had twisted its paw and was limping what he claimed was a painkiller injection; three hours later, the poor animal was dead! It was probably a painkiller meant for a large cow, not a 2 kg fawn. That man should have his license revoked!
Regarding the unqualified assessment of the fawn, I can only say from experience: fawns often die simply from the complications of shock, frequently caused by the "rescuer." Furthermore, with wild animals, one often doesn't know what happened beforehand or if there are any other injuries. I can't judge the situation, but to write a judgment about a veterinarian based on such a situation is highly unprofessional. I found Dr. Szczepanski to be absolutely competent; he remained empathetic despite the demanding work with so-called farm animals, which is difficult enough for a veterinarian anyway. He tried everything to help our pig, but also honestly shared the prognosis, and we are grateful and satisfied with the treatment!
