Dr. med. vet. F. Böhle VETERINARY PHYSICIAN MRI/HRCT MRI/CT CENTERS BERLIN-CHARLOTTENBURG Veterinary diagnostics at the highest level of human medicine Quick appointment availability Gentle and empathetic treatment of animal patients Professional follow-up therapy consultation in cooperation with the primary veterinarian Full cost transparency and coverage by pet health insurance I own several Border Collies from a herding line. The dogs are used both as therapy dogs and in sports (agility, canicross, bikejoring, obedience, search and rescue, and herding). While my primary veterinarian was on vacation, my six-month-old Border Collie fell and subsequently became lame in his right front leg. Examinations at veterinary clinics in the Düsseldorf area yielded no clear diagnoses and were sometimes contradictory. A carpal joint injury was considered certain. The recommended tests were unsuitable for a reliable diagnosis, but were also only to be performed after a prolonged waiting period. Based on this unreliable diagnosis, the dog was prescribed a splint which—as it later turned out—would have severely damaged the dog's health. In this situation, I sought an alternative to the aforementioned clinics and contacted Dr. Böhle. During this initial contact, I was informed about the medical inadequacy of the previous tests and the risks of the recommended "therapy," which consisted of using the carpal splint and waiting for improvement. If no improvement occurred, the plan was to perform a computed tomography scan—unsuitable for further diagnosis—after this prolonged use of therapeutically inappropriate medication. At the same time, I was informed about the costs. Within a few days, an appointment was arranged in Berlin. The examination was conducted gently and sensitively for the animal patient. I was able to stay with my dog until the sedation took effect and was with him again when he regained consciousness. Immediately after the examination by Dr. Böhle, it was clear that all previous diagnoses and suspected diagnoses from third parties, as well as the proposed treatment methods, were incorrect and would have seriously harmed our dog, because the significant injury was not to the carpal joint, but—as Dr. Böhle now determined—to the shoulder joint. After receiving a detailed written report of the MRI scan, Dr. Böhle provided us with specific treatment recommendations, which were implemented in the following months after consultations with both Dr. Böhle and our regular veterinarian. The therapy, consisting of medication, rest, and targeted physiotherapy, was successful. The dog is pain-free and no longer restricted in his movements. Both our regular veterinarian and the physiotherapists involved had to admit that they had never encountered such precise diagnostic methods as those used by Dr. Böhle. The medical professionals interviewed explained that both the imaging procedure and the evaluation met the highest standards of human medicine. Without this detailed diagnosis and targeted therapy, my dog might have suffered lifelong damage and at least recurring impairment. A final check-up with another MRI scan will be performed by Dr. Böhle in a few weeks. The costs of the examination, which were presented transparently from the outset, were reimbursed by the pet health insurance company after submission of the written report.
Our deepest thanks to Mr. Böhle and his team at VET TOMOPET. We brought our cat to him because she was suspected of having lung cancer, which needed to be confirmed with a CT scan. From the very beginning, we felt we were in excellent hands. Mr. Böhle took a great deal of time to explain everything to us, was very empathetic and flexible, and was able to offer us an appointment quickly. Through his professional analysis, in which he considered many factors and consulted with other experts, he was able to provide an alternative diagnosis that gave us renewed hope. We believe that this level of accuracy would not have been possible with any other veterinarian, as Mr. Böhle utilizes the latest technology designed for humans, enabling him to produce highly precise analyses. We would recommend VET TOMOPET without hesitation!
I am so grateful that Dr. Böhle made it possible to have my fox cub Vivien, who has congenital hydrocephalus, undergo an MRI scan on such short notice. The diagnosis is unfortunately very serious, but little Vivien is making steady progress and has such an enormous will to live. I hope that she can have the surgery with a shunt. Dr. Böhle was very sensitive during the examination and when administering the sedation, and he dosed it so perfectly that my very weak puppy tolerated it so well and was already feeling much better before we even went home ❤️ What I really appreciate is that Dr. Böhle continues to be there for you even after the examination, and you can reach him personally every day. That gives you peace of mind. He also helped my little Vivien a lot with choosing and dosing her medication. He listens to you, shares in your joy at positive developments, and is interested in the further course of treatment. I find that very kind. I will definitely go back to Dr. Böhle for MRI scans. Animals of all kinds are in the best hands there.
I am extremely grateful to Dr. Böhle. The expert advice beforehand and the friendly way he handled my dog were invaluable. Never before has a doctor taken so much time to clarify everything and answer all my questions. I can wholeheartedly recommend him.
Very friendly contact and excellent communication - quick appointment, thank you so much!
