Reviews
Lovely
You simply feel well cared for! The processes are well-organized, and all the staff are very sensitive and helpful. They really took their time to explain everything to us as owners and to create a thorough medical history. Dr. Kasparek has a holistic view of her patients and shares her assessments transparently, honestly, and yet sensitively. For our horse—sometimes a bit sensitive—the clinic visit, including the CT scan, wasn't nearly as stressful or scary as expected, thanks to the wonderful way they handled us.
Dear Team at the Aschheim Equine Clinic, With this review, I would like to thank you again. My horse, Gangster, was at your clinic from the beginning of April until the end of July. Gangster had struggled with various lameness issues for many years. Unfortunately, no other clinic could help us until I was advised to contact Dr. Kasparek. I received immediate help and brought Gangster to Aschheim. There, he was given all the time he needed to adjust to the new situation, and his other health conditions (e.g., asthma) were also taken into consideration (steamed hay, dust-free bedding, etc.). It's wonderful that the horses are allowed out in the paddock during the day. Even during the initial examinations, Gangster showed neurological abnormalities. I was involved in everything and asked for my advice. Unfortunately, the X-ray was inconclusive, so he had to undergo a CT scan. This revealed that Gangster suffers from Wobbler syndrome (spinal ataxia). Despite the risks, I decided to have surgery. I want to emphasize that I wasn't pressured into anything; I made the decision myself, calmly and without any pressure. Gangster had successful surgery at the beginning of May. After the operation, he was constantly monitored and continued to receive excellent care. I was kept informed and involved in everything. He remained at the clinic until the end of July. Dear Dr. Kasparek, dear Dr. Prisching, dear Dr. Waselau, I would like to sincerely thank you for the professional, competent, and individualized medical care. Of course, I would also like to thank the entire team for their loving care. It was the best decision to bring Gangster to the Aschheim Clinic and have him operated on there. Despite the longer journey (to Karlsruhe), I would have Gangster examined and treated by you again without hesitation. Gangster's recovery is not yet complete, but he is doing very well and making progress. Since his discharge (on the clinic's recommendation), he has been in rehabilitation with Jennifer Friedrich (IQ Horse Therapy), and I am very satisfied with his progress there as well. Thanks to the combination of treatment and surgery at the Aschheim Clinic and rehabilitation with Jennifer Friedrich, Gangster can now and will continue to live a pain-free and happy life. I am very grateful for that. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Aschheim Equine Clinic to anyone.
My horse spent over three weeks at the Aschheim Equine Clinic. From the grooms and the receptionist to the veterinarians, my mare was in excellent hands. Despite her serious injury, poor prognosis, and difficult temperament, everyone did a fantastic job, and it was only because of them that I was able to bring her home. She's not fully recovered yet, but thanks to the clinic, she's on the right track. I highly recommend this clinic to everyone.
Fantastic team, highly recommended! My horse was very well cared for there, and we received excellent advice and treatment. They also work with a superb farrier, which was a real help.
