Pferdepraxis Waldhausen - Dr.med.vet. Eberhard Mettenleiter

I've been bringing my two horses to the Waldhausen Equine Clinic since 2022. I feel very well cared for here, receive excellent advice, and my horses are in good hands! Dr. Mettenleiter and his entire team are incredibly friendly and competent. I always enjoy coming here and leave with excellent care and advice! The clinic is my first port of call for lameness or other problems with my horses.

Our horse had been lame for an extended period, primarily in its front legs. Despite multiple on-site veterinary examinations, the cause remained elusive. Shortly before a scheduled appointment with Dr. Mettenleiter, a severe hoof abscess developed, further complicating matters. I had met Dr. Mettenleiter over a year prior during another case and was already very impressed by his expertise. Therefore, despite the long drive of over three hours, I decided to visit him again for a second opinion. He meticulously treated the severe hoof abscess over several days. Only after the hoof had healed did he address the underlying problem. With his trained eye, he immediately had a specific suspicion – which was later confirmed by a CT scan. The subsequent treatment was immediately effective, and our horse is now back to his old self: eager to move, balanced, and full of energy. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Mettenleiter and his team. At a time when I was mentally preparing for the worst, he gave us new hope – and restored true quality of life to our horse. I would and will make the long journey again in a heartbeat. I can absolutely recommend him to anyone!

A huge thank you to Dr. Mettenleiter and his amazing team. My horse has bone spavin and was able to spend two nights at a 5-star clinic. There, she received excellent care and lots of cuddles… We went back twice for follow-up appointments, and what can I say? My horse is riding again! 🥰 The treatment was incredibly successful, and the long drive was more than worth it. They were also always available to answer any questions. Not only did my horse feel incredibly comfortable, but so did I. I've never seen such a wonderful clinic with so much heart for horses. Thank you so much for everything! 🐴
