I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this veterinary practice. My 16-year-old cat was examined here and I was told he had a tooth infection and his ears needed to be cleaned. This could only be treated with surgery. I was told he might not survive the operation. Without a blood test or anything else, the vet scheduled the surgery the next day. I was concerned and sought a second opinion. The second vet confirmed that surgery at that age was fatal and completely unnecessary. He also determined that my cat did not have a tooth infection at all. They cleaned his ears without surgery. I feel deceived by the first practice and therefore cannot recommend them. This would mean losing my cat. Absolute disgrace!! My cat wasn't even examined properly, so the diagnosis couldn't be correct, which was confirmed in this case. Apparently, money was more important than the animal's well-being.

Mr. Rembold takes plenty of time with his animals and treats them with great skill and care. At his practice, you can also have your dog groomed by his veterinary assistant. You will also be kept up to date on vaccinations. The entire team is very friendly, and you feel like you're in good hands.

Unfortunately, I must give this practice a very critical review, not only because of the medical outcome, but especially because of how I, as a pet owner, was treated. My cat was spayed at this practice in March 2025. Recently, however, she again showed clear signs of being in heat. A hormonal test was then performed by another veterinarian. The lab results (Antech Lab Germany) showed an anti-Müllerian hormone level of 2.54 pmol/l, while the reference range for spayed cats is below 0.57 pmol/l. This result clearly indicates residual functional ovarian tissue (ovarian residual syndrome). I subsequently contacted the original practice to calmly and objectively discuss the next steps and whether a necessary follow-up surgery could be scheduled. Instead of a professional clarification, I was laughed at, my statements were questioned, and the veterinarian who performed the second examination was disparagingly commented on ("What kind of doctor says something like that?"). There was no constructive discussion or attempt to find a solution. Furthermore, I was explicitly informed that the practice refused to perform the necessary follow-up surgery. When I asked whether, given this obvious surgical error, at least some reimbursement or support was possible, I received no objective or constructive answer whatsoever. The tone was rude, disrespectful, and in no way commensurate with the seriousness of the situation. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this practice from either a medical or a human perspective.

We were at our RV site over Easter when our dog was bitten in the throat on Easter Sunday. We left a message on the answering machine and received an immediate call back. We were able to come into the practice right away, and our dog was well cared for. We were scheduled for a check-up on Monday, and the wound looked good. The doctor was very nice and competent. It couldn't have been better. 🐶

Super friendly and welcoming staff... The vet is fantastic; I've never been given such thorough information before. No questions were left unanswered. We felt very comfortable, well cared for, and understood. I'm so happy to have found this vet. Thank you so much for everything :-)
