We had a bad experience. After her spaying, our dog started exhibiting behavioral problems. We went to the vet, but they didn't examine her. They didn't really take us seriously. A week later, it turned out she had an infection; an abscess had formed. Furthermore, only her ovaries were removed during the spaying procedure, even though we had discussed removing her uterus as well.
