I cannot recommend it.
The vet answered the phone: "Well, if the dog has had this for a few days, it's probably not urgent. We vets take vacations too." His advice: "Why don't you jokingly call a dentist and see if they'd open their practice on the holiday?" Sorry that I called on Monday, December 30th (not a holiday) and they answered the phone. Edit: Before anyone thinks I demanded they open, I was simply asking for advice on where to go. That's when the incredibly cheeky suggestion about the dentist came. I'd seriously reconsider going to this vet in the future…
