Reviews
Very good veterinary clinic, very clean, professional staff, they are reasonably priced and actually care about the animals. That is an important point i haven't seen in many clinics, the ficus is not the income, the doctors take all the time they need to care for your animal and also to make sure you understand what is going on, spending a lot of time explaining to you what is wrong. My dog has been treated here for a few years and i really appreciate their care and even extra steps in Making sure he's healthy and nothing else can happen. Definitely recommend!
The Best
This practice comes with our highest and unqualified recommendation. We brought our terrier, Jacky, who had been hit by a car, to the practice yesterday as an emergency case from Ramsen, Switzerland. Ms. Reidl and the entire team provided exceptionally professional, empathetic, and loving care for Jacky and for us. During the difficult hours leading up to the difficult decision, both personal and medical, to let Jacky go, we greatly appreciated their clear and consistently compassionate support and guidance. We thank the entire team and hope that many more small animal patients and their owners will find their way to this practice.
A warm, highly competent, extremely reliable, and caring veterinary practice! We have been taking our dog here for years and can wholeheartedly recommend the practice. We first visited them at the end of 2022 after our dog Ken suffered severe myocarditis and pneumonia. His prognosis at that time was very poor, with severe cardiac arrhythmias and cardiac coughing – a type of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). Ms. Wilhelm was very transparent with us from the beginning, explaining the illness, the available options, and so on. Over time, we also saw Dr. Wilhelm several times, as our dog had suffered two slipped discs in recent years. What we truly appreciate is, firstly, that you can really feel the team's genuine care for the animal and their joy every time they see Ken walk into the practice – despite his poor prognosis years ago. Secondly, you can see how carefully they consider offering the best possible therapy for each individual patient. A definite plus is that Ms. Wilhelm specializes in heart-related issues and Mr. Wilhelm in orthopedic matters, meaning you have a truly experienced expert on your side. They really take their time with you and actively involve you in the process of determining the best treatment. However, I must say that at times it was a bit too intense/overwhelming for us – I would recommend simply stating upfront how deeply you, as a pet owner, want to delve into the subject. Otherwise, it can be quite mentally and emotionally taxing. Another advantage is the availability of emergency services via the practice's dedicated emergency number. Our dog collapsed late one Sunday evening, and we were able to speak with Ms. Wilhelm immediately. Even at that hour, she took the time to discuss the best course of action with us. What I find particularly noteworthy is that Dr. Wilhelm communicates very clearly when she believes another treatment option would be beneficial, but she cannot offer it on-site and then refers or recommends it to the appropriate specialist. For example, she openly communicated to us that our dog might benefit from additional heart medication, but she didn't want to prescribe it without monitoring/a long-term ECG and suggested we contact the veterinary clinic in Zurich for this. Furthermore, as a regular patient, you can always clarify the next steps by phone or email. For instance, when we were on vacation or in general situations where we couldn't be there in person and therefore had to see another veterinarian, the practice team was always available to discuss which treatments were suitable for our dog based on his condition. In cases of uncertainty, they always made every effort to arrange for us to speak with Dr. Wilhelm personally by phone as soon as possible. I find this truly special and beyond anything I could have expected. So, once again, a huge thank you to the entire practice team! Also from Ken, now 13 and a half years old.
Busy, well-coordinated, Bella received excellent care during numerous minor and major, critical surgeries. Absolutely competent! Highly recommended…
